Always had my morning coffee watching Wendy while I worked. She helped many of us with the messy stories that made us forget our own problems for an hour. I wish Wendy peace, recovery and happiness ❤

When she stood watching the crowd in the beginning she got emotional but changed the topic so she could hold her tears back. I’m sure she knew what was coming but had hope it wasn’t it

What hurts me more is how I remember her being very strong, very opinionated, and quick with her questions/insights. Watching this is like looking at an empty shell; it's as if she's reduced to nothing but repeating what the teleprompter/earpiece says, curious in a child-like way (not trying to be insulting, but I couldn't find a better way to describe it), and just completely withdrawn. I would and could never have thought someone like Wendy could go through something like this. I hope you get better, Wendy.

The sad thing is she won't and can't get better. I'm just trying to understand how she went from this to not even remembering her own name just last month
@@michaelspyker8390 I am hesitant to deny claims, but for some reason, I believe Wendy does not exhibit the typical dementia seen in others. This opinion is based on a video from last year, where Wendy did not appear completely well but was nearly herself. If it were dementia, such rapid progression in a year would be unusual, which I doubt is the case. It seems the documentary may have shown Wendy influenced by other factors, not her true self. Wendy has always been a hard worker, as evidenced in the documentary where she repeatedly discusses her work, even with her siblings whom she has recently been in touch with. Should she receive the necessary help and improve, it wouldn't surprise me if Wendy amazed us once again. For now, she requires her personal space, and I truly hope she regains her strengths. Although my thoughts are open to debate, watching that video convinced me that Wendy still had her spark, and I was keenly anticipating her podcast, despite its cancellation. Yes, she has that "dead inside" demeanor here. She's usually lively and more engaged. And here she can't even laugh. Nothing is funny to her anymore.

I don't think she was capable of knowing it was her last. At best, she had momentary insights; but with a condition of her extent, such insights were soon lost in a fog of the mind

It's remarkably sad how in such a short time she went from being one of the most highly watched hosts of a daytime TV show to now being completely out of the public life to the point where there are no recent articles about her that would provide an update on the status of her health.

Her alcoholism caused the dementia... I had no idea alcohol was THAT destructive.
The dementia and aphasia really show. Nobody knew.
If you’re a true Wendy watcher, you remember how she’d always make comments about thinking someone was trying to poison her. Kinda ironic how sick she is now. Get better Wendy. We love you so much 😢❤

I think her husband may have been behind it. It makes sense. Keep her sick enough to not know what was happening to her money but alive enough to keep it coming in.
She always had a mug of “tea” next to her every episode 🤔 makes me wonder
I truly think something was slipped into her food and/or drink. Her mental state slipped so rapidly once her husband’s scandal became public. Then conveniently she is under conservatorship and has no control over her finances or anything. She is being taken advantage of and it’s sad that no one from her past has come to help her.

This made me sad: I miss her! Seeing the difference in her first 10 seasons (high heels, sharp, and quick-witted) vs. the more recent (slower moving and slower processing) is such a contrast. I am a radio Wendy fan, and she's been part of my life since young adulthood. We love you, Wendy. Get well soon!

What happened between this day and September when they were supposed to return.. I know she was already unwell but to take such a drastic decline so quickly is so so sad 😢 I miss her every single day.
It’s so hard and so shocking to watch this. I never kept up with her or her show but everybody knew how extra, fun, and sassy she was. She was a whole personality of her own. What a transformation.

wow this is awkward she is clearly not with it at times. theres a disconnect. I think her biggest issue is alcoholism. I know she has all otehr kinds of diagnosis but her drinking is what is making her unstable. but the dementia is beyond being cured. So we will not see her back on our TV screens like before. No tv network will take that risk.
I can really see the signs of the onset of dementia here. I would have never known what it was at the time but now that I know how she is now, the signs were definitely there
I kick myself all the time for not saving this - when they made it so easy for us to save it. I could’ve never guessed she’d never be back though. 💜Glad to have saved the clips I did with her birthday cake & song and the credit roll!
Even as she walked out you can see there is an issue. She appears to be gone from the night before of mixing medication and alcohol. It was no longer fun for her.
I think she relapsed after Kevin divorce with alcohol and drugs the guilt got to her

Wendy's condition is not great in here but I remember it was still getting better than some of the truly terrible days back then. But comparing this to her condition in the latest docuseries? It's hard to imagine how fast the dementia has progress in 3 years. And looking back from now, a lot of the mood swings and snaps make sense now... there were clues and we were too blind to see them
I miss her so much. My bestie and I would watch this right after high school got out in bumfuck upstate New York. We got out at 2:18 and her show would always replay in the afternoon around 3-4 . I miss you so much Wendy and I hope and pray your inner circle has your best interests in mind ❤ I don’t think she knows how special she is:(

Did anybody else feel the interaction between her and Michael Bolton was a bit uncomfortable? I know Wendy wasn't at her best here, but frankly speaking - Bolton seems pretty out of it and reminded me of someone with Parkinson's. I miss Wendy. I didn't always like her vibe, but the way things worked out for her is pretty tragic - and I wish things had been different. I don't understand that much about her illness or her substance abuse issues, but there's this silly deluded part of me that hopes she could get better with treatment and return to form, quick-witted and sharp and host again with the same energy and vitality that made us like her.
I love Micheal Bolton but he is awkward in most of his interviews so it’s hard to judge this one.
I noticed that he had a strange look on his face as though he noticed she wasn’t her normal self.

After todays news I came here! Starting crying when he sung her Happy Birthday! Looking back there was nothing behind her eyes this episode!🥺 life can be so sad sometimes! Wendy is why I majored in Communications after reading “Wendy Got The Heat!” Her dream was to retire and teach a CommunicationsCourse 🥺 she inspired me, even Joe Budden don’t let anyone disrespect her! She influenced a lot of Millennials and Gen Z’s

I remember always watching her in the morning. Wendy is such a beautiful, loving soul. I watched the documentary they did, and I cried because they lied to her and stolen so much from her. These guardianship all they do is steal from you. I'm praying for you, Wendy.
