@King Smokes Arthur was already terminal, he was gonna die anyway. You still have a point though, Dutch didn't even help Arthur fight Micah. And it isn't the first time he leaves Arthur for himself. Like in the story mission My Last Boy, when someone shoots a pipe and blinds Arthur and an army soldier tries to stab Arthur, he calls for Dutch's help but Dutch turns his back on him and gets out of the factory to regroup with the gang. Then Arthur calls him out and Dutch lies nonchalantly, in front of the gang. Dutch was only showing his true colors.

I fully agree. I have became an outlaw for drawing a gun in my hotel room in which I was alone and also because my horse slightly moved a dead body which was lying on a town street for many minutes. No one even cared about the NPC that was the killer, no one cared about the body, but suddenly all started to chase me. For me it actually ruined the game.

If you don't have a bounty, don't run and press defuse/square on the sheriff when he asks what's going on he just tells you to take a walk. I've even had the sheriff watch multiple fist fights before I knocked the other guys out and was told to take a hike.
It is a wonky mechanic and you sometimes just whip out your gun when you try talking to the sheriff, so that's fun

This by far my absolute favorite RDR2 logic video. I love all of them, but this one is my biggest struggle in the game, and when you decided no more fucks would be given, and shot the witnesses, I died laughing because that's what I do everytime.

When i played this game, i've met an old man, who tried to build a house for sale. He was pressed by the bandits, i decided to help him out and killed the bandits. Next time we met, he was low on money to finish the house, so i helped him again, by giving him 100 bucks. Third time we met, he succesfully sold the house. He returned me my money with some extra, and was thankful for my help. I took the money and wanted to say goodbye to him, as i always did. I pressed RMB... and istead of focusing on him, Arthur just pulled out his gun and started aiming at old man. I quickly hid my gun, but at this point, there was no turning back. He just turned into some kind of bloodrage demon, i don't know. He started to beat the shit out of Arthur. I didn't wanted to fight him, but there was no choice, he just wanted to tear me up with his bare hands. I draw my gun, but he didn't even hesitate, so i had to shot him, just so he wouldn't kill me.
I had a similar thing happen but he reset and paid me back.
That Was more Sad than I Expeccted

Where as if you left it on the body and a witness finds it they'll report it have the body brought to town then the family or next of kin (The people who truly deserve any last letters or clues) would be given any of their belongings.
I'm just saying Rockstar is right it's immoral, and the excuse someone else would loot it isn't justification.

Then I got to a camp that's being raided by Morfree Brood members, and search the people they killed for the same reason, to find Intel, but I'll get like smokes and bad reputation

Being that looting the corpses is just a faster/lazier way of gaining already available information instead of new Intel I'd still describe it as immoral.

Honestly I wish I could play like a jerk in these kind of games. I just can’t do it I always end feeling bad for being mean. Expect in rdr2 I consciously played as good Arthur. Arthur is a good man just hangs around bad people.

He wants to be a good man because he did some bad things, but he just cant manage to do it and he sees saving John as his redemption.
Well, that's what great about rdr2 that you can play arthur how you like. I don't like kill people randomly. only use my gun for self defense or people I find really irritated. Still I like doing bad things like robbing people, steal wagon. But instead using gun, I use lasso to tie them up, rob them then left them 😁

Implying that he KNOWS what they do (as a gang) is not right but they are not COMPLETELY EVIL and heartless.
And that's why in the game it's HARDER to do good deeds and also takes longer to do them. (good choices are far and few in between than bad ones) whereas you can shoot up an entire town and murder everyone and everything in it and become the devil really quickly.
Also there is a bonus to being good, you get a cutscene. Like the one where you chase down the dude that said he recognized you from blackwater...when you catch up to him hes hanging off the cliff,.... Kill him..... He drops...... Save him,... He talks to you, give you a pen, then you tell him the truth about yourself and threaten him.
DEFINITELY a much better reward. (at least to me.)

This is SO accurate. I was kind of hoping that I would be able to create a meaningful progression arc for Arthur... you know, helping folks, trying to honor the deputy badge you get, that kind of thing. I have half a mind to create a save file where I start diverging into a mean old killing stealing bastard just to see if it would work.
Some guy started a fight with me in Black Water, so I lead him to the sheriffs office.
......I got arrested.
I actually did once hogtie and arrest a dude who killed his friend, and got money for it. This unfortunately gave me the false impression that you could do this whenever you saw crimes happening, which led to quite a few kidnapping charges
Weird, one of my favorite hobbies is insulting people riding through town and watching the sheriff kill them when they draw on me.

This means you're a vigilante at that point, and Arthur isn't exactly in a position to convince the public he isn't just an outlaw kidnapping, and framing him

If you see a witness coming up with a white eye walk up to them and defuse/press square and Arthur says it's a misunderstanding.
Press square on the witness two more times and he will go to report the crime as a dark red eye instead of light red
Meaning when the cops show up if you don't run and press defuse on them Arthur says he had nothing to do with it and the sheriff will tell him to get outta the crime scene.
This works even if you did kill the person as long as it's a white witness eye seeing the body.

On the other hand I also just can't see Arthur being bad. I feel like he would've sided more with Micah and Dutch and such if he was instead of worrying about and helping the other characters. Arthur would've had a different role I feel if he had bad honor.
@@omnom1022 Yeah I always end up being good in the end. The best place to be bad honor (in terms of story) is Chapters 2 & 3. It would have been cool if, bad honor Arthur sides with Micah and Dutch to get the money instead of getting Abigail. Sadie goes to get Abi instead and succeeds. Sadie finds out Micah is the rat and basically does good Arthur's role. Arthur takes the side of Micah and escapes. He is then maybe killed by John before RDR 1 it would make Arthur EXTREMELY unlikable but that is kinda how bad Arthur is. I know Arthur and Micah don't belong in the same sentence together unless it's Arthur killing him but it could be that bad honor Arthur bonds more with Micah. I know this would be really hard to put into an already massive game and sounds like a nightmare for actually doing the writing and motion capture but it sounds cool in my head.
I can so relate to this! Trying to be good is hard when NPCs start to antagonize you...and things always escalate from there.
The writing and subtle humor was great! I knew he could not last a minute being good. LOL

That's what you get when it's coded for a weak CPU that cannot handle complexity.
Everything is "event triggered".
Meaning that allocated goodwill doesn't mean anything.
NPCs don't actually remember anything. They just go off of a triggered script.
The game's mechanics are a rough illusion. Next gen should change things up a bit.
That is why the second I FEEL something bad will happen to me. The travelers will be riding past a ghost town.

Ib7 h im pretty sure cuz rdr2 is the past/backstory of rdr1 plus everybody died and charles and sadie left the country...and in rdr2 you kill micah...and in rdr1 you kill dutch...and in rdr1 john and his fam will get attacked and john told his fam to run away and fought the gang that attacked them and died...so then you continue as jack (john’s son) and avenge john’s death

Yea the game is ridiculous in some things, like if ya get into a fist fight, the lawmen shoot ya instead of simply giving the option to surrender and spend the night in jail.
The story mode gives that choice though.
I hogtied a dude in a prison outfit that killed a police officer and he was clearly in prison clothes and I tried to turn him in and it said I was kidnapping😂😂
