- Season 10 has been a lot of fun so far but now as we turn our attentions to ranked game play with Crypto, it is time to remember that placement actually matters. However, sometimes decisions cost teammates their lives and we can't entirely blame their responses, but at the same time, it is the duty of every player to look after themselves first. Today's teammate wasn't quite toxic, but certainly had a few complaints.

It's nice to see a CZcamsr using Crypto, as a Crypto main myself, I've been shit talked to just for playing Crypto. People don't want to slow down and think things out when playing Apex, which is Crypto's style.
Non-crypto players really don't realize that we get cursed out every 10 games as soon as crypto comes on the selection screen. It's actually depressing to know firsthand how many awful people there are playing this game
I hate that, last time I played with a Crypto he was absolutely amazing, everything about how he played screamed Crypto - easiest win I've ever got and the guy was so polite.
If anything I respect you Crypto mains.

@@dartheverstar9564 its the sweaty Apex players that get mad at me. i started the game a week ago, and tbh Apex is waaay more toxic than CoD ever was. in CoD no one ever uses mics, even if u mess up no one cared.I wish this game had solo, so i could learn it on my own without toxic people getting mad at you for learning.

Also, Apex has solo, you can remove the checkmark from "fill teammates".

Rag, just know that you’re not alone in this struggle, many teammates out there just don’t understand basic thinking and make the mistakes that, more often than not, cost them a game, and their immediate thought is to blame their teammates
I swept multiple squads with Crypto without my teammates to help me (since they’d been downed) but it was my stealthy and strategic approach that won the fight, along with taking out a third party, but guess what I got in response as I’m picking up the Octane who went down first
“F***ing Crypto mains are so bad at this game, you’re lucky I did all the damage”

Crypto: 10 kills, 2 assists, 1500 damage
Octane: 1 kill, 5 assists, 250 damage
Valkyrie: 3 kills, 0 assists, 500 damage
Octane was still sh*t talking us after the game was over
It's good to hear that I'm not alone. Pretty much feel that Crypto is the Legend that works best for me because he's the one that makes me stop and think about what's going on. I really like his kit and it sucks that I can't follow the full send every game approach, which is why I think I prefer him in ranked. Sure, people still charge in, but it doesn't happen every game.
You are not alone not just crypto but any other legend really... I am a non commentor mostly but i get my fare share of toxic teammates that do weird stuff and still blame the person who's done the best he could in the worst circumstance...
@@RagTagg i have same problem with rev.. without octane(well octanes who actually uses pad for the benefit for entire team ) or path in team, i have zero mobility and even after hitbox changes, rev's hitbox is still almost as big as gibby's or caustics(still noouu fortified) so i cant be rushing 24/7, i have to take it slow.
But teammates just goes and full sends everything with their stims and valk jetpacks (again octane's wouldnt be problem if jump pad would be used for benefit for whole team, not just for octane first stim to mile away and then throw jump pad in front of them after stim effect has ended) or path grappling to next universe.
I had valk today call me out for not using the totem, wich is fair point most of the time. But almost all our fights where in open areas in world edge cuz it was ranked, and without octane, path, wraith or scanner in team and the fact it was open areas, totem wouldnt be effective and vulnerable to 3rd parties to either destroy or use.
I used it, and just i excepted first totem was entire waste, no moment or scanners, entire duration of totem was used to just search enemies and second time, i was only one who used it. I knew that would happen as rev main, but i did humor valk for totem. Hopefully that valk player learned why i didnt use it in open areas without team movement legends or scanners.

That Pathy dropping in an IMMEDIATELY pushing bloodhound with nothing but fists makes me so happy! I hate when we’re in a must-fight situation and teammates just die without fighting, and then say “I didn’t have a gun.”
that path was on mission XD. But in general, it is not wise to push without weapons. Especially with just white armor. But tbf for pathy, he did have advantage from dropping from the sky to suprise bloodhound.

I kind of miss the old drone deploy. Somehow it feels like it takes more time until you are in control of the drone now.
Both games were great, but of course the victories are always nicer to have. HA! In that first game though, I think your stats compared to the two toxic players, spoke for themselves. HA! Your commentary always makes the games even better, and I think if I had you commentating while I played, I might actually play better. LOL!
The last part is why I try to be nice in game, win or lose - I'll give advice or ask how I can work with you better if we're on mic and you're nice, but I'm not tripping over anything it's just a game. In ranked I'll be more blunt about when I see someone going to do something in in a wrong way, but even then I'm not dogging anyone because everyone has to start somewhere with ranked too - its just if I can say for sure it's not a good idea, it's REALLY not a good idea lol.
I had a match in Arenas after a really stressful BR match, really damaging my opponents but I was being stupid and playing too aggressive and dying, just having fun - I really wasn't stressing it I knew I could get the win anyways, then I heard these dudes say "I hope we don't get another toxic dude that calls us trash for being new" and I know that feeling... plus again, I'm playing stupid and they didn't call me out,, so I hop on mic like "nah dude I wasn't even being a good teammate, I got you now though we win these" and just like that we rolled over the team with ease. They were cool, plus it's even cooler to teach someone about damage numbers and what numbers are good to push on, stuff like that and see it put to use in the same match. Maybe a little bragging but also being told that I'm better than the toxic guy, but yanno... ego aside.
Toxicity can really ruin people's ability to play the game, I'm the type to let them talk and when the game ends rub my numbers in they face, but if it's to my teammates I tell them to shut the hell up or be muted because there's no sense in making it harder for them - which makes it harder for all of us, it's actually extremely ignorant in reality.

@@fixthat3269 Appreciated the response. I think if more people took your attitude when playing the game, it would be more fun in general, and I wouldn't find it necessary to mute the team at the start of every round. LOL!

While I love how funny toxic teammates can be, I also love the players like you who often remain positive through the worst of things. I met someone like that last night and it was a very pleasant experience.

As a Crypto semi-main I feel your pain, both with Game 1 teammates charge-in-and-die then epic-against-all-odds respawn (no thanks!) and charge-in-and-die again, and with the panic-disoriented drone return (tap down is so much quick but we all forget lol!).

Sometimes I get the salt when your team decides to hot drop 30 games in a row in fragment
Fragment wouldnt even be a problem
But its always the very closest building, where approximately 19 other teams also dropped.
Even when youre very good its pretty much suicide trying to 1v12 because your also not all on the same floor ever

I found that to be the best commentary of the gameplay this go round..
This happens to me too often and I always feel awkward for some reason. I usually spin around a few times while zipping to avoid looking directly into the buns 👀

I'll be honest. If I have an Octane on my team, I know it's going to be a bad game. I've random Octane I've ever had the misfortune of matching with in Ranked thinks that they're a pro, and immediately they get downed because they do what I call "The typical braindead Octane" move. Which is W Key into every engagement, not taking any note of where their team is, and leave me and the other poor soul who solo queued to try and 2 v 3 whatever mess they got into, or just abandon them and let them quit out of the lobby on their own. In fact the second option is always more preferable to trying to rescue them these days.
On the other hand the Octane bar is set so low that I can play him and people are impressed I'm not dead within the first five seconds - let alone actually using my brain cells or stimming for an appropriate reason.
The funny part is one time I have actually heard "woah our Octane actually has a brain!" just for being in the general vicinity of my team lmao.
Always when we are still looting mocktaint will already be at the next poi trying to 1v3 whoever was there and then sarcastically "thanks for the help" and leave while they are still only downed

I don't know why this guy constantly calls himself bad. He's a pretty solid player, and he can do way better than I ever could (But lets not dwell on that last part)
I think in one of his old videos he explains why he refers to himself as gutter tier.
Its more of an inside joke referring to all the bad moments of panic or just having a bad day and trying to put a positive spin on them by joking about those situations

Octane has become my least favorite teammate to have. There's like 15 good ones and everyone else seems to run face first, die, get mad and either rage for the rest of the game or quit instantly.
They use their speed to hoover up all the loot from you, if you are lucky you will find a gun they dropped when they found a better one but it won't have any ammo and certainly not any attachments!

According to the valkyrie (1st game) the whole lobby was ”1hp”, I mean everyone she encountered was 1hp. Then at the summary you notice her record damage (181). These kind of players are masters in running into fights without any strategy, situational awareness or the skills to back to those disadvantages. Instead of analysing their game and taking lessons learned (for improvement) they either 1. quit, 2. blame their team mates and quit, 3. blame their mates.

My last 3 arenas games had that teammate who pushes solo, dies, starts calling you trash, then has lowest dmg in squad at end screen.... It's so tiring....

Oh btw I swear I played with that Valkyrie before, it was the beginning of season 9 like 3 days in and he got mad I picked her, he had last pick and didn't say a word till I picked her "oh you suck as her, I already have 160 kills with her" we got to about where you got and I use my ultimate then he goes off about me not playing smart because I didn't land where he kept pinging. He got downed first and left gg. Btw find it hilarious he stuns himself w his own rockets @3:30
Just found this channel and I’m so happy I did I’ve been binging all your videos they are so good they actually got me back into the game after not having played since season 2 and now I’m hooked again! Crypto is a beast and he is absolutely exhausting to play well. If my energy and focus is high enough, I'll play crypto. That constant in and out of droning and choosing when to do so is a real mindfuck but also can make for the most satisfying games i've ever had. People hating on Crypto are dumb in their heads.
Ive been playing more crypto this season, he can be extremely valuable and teammates need to realise that his play styles a bit slow to catch up. Having said that, he is also a very ‘clumsy’ character, the amount of times my own drone has got caught on my own body like a coat hanger is quite hilarious. Not at the time though.
People who know they are genuinely good at something are often the most humble. People who think they are good are often the ones who are insecure and toxic.
I wish I was as good as you dealing with negative teammates. I mostly try to out kill and damage them even at the cost of rp just to send them a message afterwards.

I was a crypto main but I had to give it up because soon as you pull out your drone teammates just berate you with insults. Bloodhound was already better than crypto in every conceivable way but since the release of Seer crypto is now obsolete. When you have characters that can scan with just the click of a button rather than having to work for their scans to gather intel is just obviously better than having to find a corner to hide in pulling a drone out and by the time you find enemies and use your ult the fight is happening too far away from you and the enemies have already healed the little bit of damage the drone does from the ult and it gives away the element of surprise because now the enemies are expecting you to push. Crypto just doesn’t work in apex he needs a harsh rework. Oh and his ult also works against you too because it also affects you and your own team.
Today, a team was throwing grenades at me in a match, and my character kept saying "Grenade!" Over and over. My teammate raged at me and told me to stop talking about grenades 🤦🏽♂️ God Give me patience

I wouldn't say you didn't play as well as your teammates. You spawned both of them back in which saved the whole game.
My teammates always shoot on sight, they don't take any time to plan something out or aim their shots, just straight out spray and pray

I’ve only played with one good crypto. You played the legend well - like he should be played. It’s a hard legend to play based on most players style of pushing but can be very effective with the right squad mix and good (non-toxi) coms. Keep doing you.
I had this happen to me last night. We landed capital they got killed I hardly had any health but managed to get their banners and respawn but they went back for their boxes and I couldn't save them a second time.

You performed just as well as they did. They would have lost without you; it wasn't a carry by any means but a beautiful team effort. Games like this should be appreciated more so because of how rare they are.

Just had a random yesterday who moaned about the team being useless, he had 29 dmg and was crafting batts when he got killed. Might have been unlucky if he got jumped but my other team mate had pinged the enemy 10 secs before he started crafting.
