  • The new TCC 78000 heavy-duty gantry crane from Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock GmbH loaded a total of 72 monopile foundation piles for Denmark's largest wind farm “Kriegers Flak” between May and September 2020. The wind farm, located south of the Danish coast, will supply up to 600,000 households with electricity in the future and will thus become Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm. The TCC 78000 offers a maximum lifting capacity of 1,600 tonnes and is used at Liebherr for internal logistics processes in the production, assembly and dispatch of maritime cranes. With the TCC 78000, Liebherr also offers external companies the possibility of carrying out heavy-duty loading in the Rostock overseas port. Liebherr's accessibility in the port of Rostock offers another decisive advantage in addition to the innovative lifting technology. The direct location on the Baltic Sea and the good hinterland connections to the German rail network and to the A19 and A20 motorways are ideal logistical conditions for handling large goods.

    Would be nice if Liebherr took all the video of that accident you know they have and produced a video of what went wrong. We have been watching that build for years. Heck if I’m not mistaken the crane in this video was built to assist with that ship crane. We are waiting.

    Why does this crane use a cylinder type mast? Instead of the backwards angled mast /jib / gentry (unsure of the name) that they use on lots of their mobile cranes

    • @Bawbag0110
      @Bawbag0110 Před 3 lety +3

      Probably to avoid a full redesign of the crane...the crane they use was already built for a customer who then pulled out and didn't want it...they simply reused it for their own lifting projects by sticking on a gantry track

    • @tgross35
      @tgross35 Před 3 lety +1

      Adam N that’s kind of cool how they just reused it. I guess my question should have been, why do these type of cranes just have the turret mast in the first place? It seems like the other angled version would be stronger

    I think that Liebherr is a great company. But those wind farms are a mafia rip-off. Taxpayers must pay for those stupid money-losing contraptions. If Liebherr wants to grow their business, they should do it in a respectable way. Not by working for the Mafia. Liebherr should explore the production of other types of lifting equipment. In the future, demand for barge cranes, mobile gantry cranes, man lifters with large surfaces, window-washing gear for skyscrapers, and even train mounted cranes for loading and unloading will be pretty strong. Liebherr needs to branch out, and explore new markets.
