      I absolutely agree. However, I'm not so sure Ollie could've behaved himself for 7 straight films---like the incomparable, Roger Moore. But, nevertheless, in my alternate, parallel universe; Ollie portrayed Bond a total of 6 times...and it was extraordinary. Brilliant, really.
      Cheers.

      But here I just commented that he was being a gentleman and behaving himself... but I do know maybe one or two other videos I thought he looked a little bit tired or unwell but I don't think I said that here.

He probably seems older to you because he's not running around in nut-crunching skinny jeans and rockin' an emasculating man bun like most 36 year olds today. Back then, men acted like men...not perpetual boys who are suffering from a permanent and terminal case arrested development.
      BTW...I'm not some bitter old guy...Ironically enough, I'm a 36 year old who just so happens to unequivocally reject the social constructs of so called "fashion" and "culture".

    • @EgoShredder
      @EgoShredder Před 6 lety +7

      I agree with what you say that responsibility ages people etc, but have to admit I am one of those 'puer aeternus' guys, e.g. eternal boy and probably why I look about early 30s but I am approaching 50. I'm far removed from those hipster man bun types though and detest them! However my entire family look stupidly young too, so maybe DNA playing a bigger part I am not sure. My personal circumstances have changed dramatically though in recent years, so I am expecting to suddenly age soon. Take it easy and look after yourself Steve :-)

    • @ontologicallysteve7765
      @ontologicallysteve7765 Před 6 lety +5

      EgoShredder Thanks for the reply. I'm glad we see eye to eye. I look young for my age as well. I'm typically mistaken as upper 20's. I have the same mindset as you (in regard to the fear of the process of aging being amped up and accentuated). My overall consensus is: "I should start rapidly self destructing ANY day now". It's held out, thus far. Here's to hoping that it holds out for at least as long as your present age. 🍷 You're very blessed.
      Johnny Depp is one of those people that I always observed as having eternal youth. But...since he turned 50...he's gone back to drinking, carousing and raising hell (much like Oliver Reed) and he's aged 10 years in two. There's a lesson here: as you said: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. When you factor in the alcohol abuse...Ollie was VERY lucky to have looked as good as he did at 36. Hell, he's lucky to have looked as good as he did the very day that he died! That seems to be the lifestyle that Johnny Depp adopted in his early 50's. Not the greatest decision. I got that out of my system in my 20's and on into my early 30's (at least I hope so 😬).
      Anyhow, sorry to ramble. I've sincerely enjoyed our discourse. Have a splendid week.
