Its a song about someone you love going away, remembering them fondly while missing them and hoping to see them again someday. Yes, she had no idea that that would work - but it did, so it was a good suggestion. They should have kept that newspaper and did the same thing to the doors and windows of every car they found themselves in to buy them time. I think the cleverest idea was - knowing that these things BITE - wrapping your limbs in leather and tape or paper - something so you couldn't easily be bitten. Especially since the two weakest people there - pregnant lady and little girl - had more skin exposed than almost everybody else. That they even survived is an absolute miracle - everything had to fall in their favor. They were the slowest runners and also the two who always ended up on the most compromising positions.

    • @Rakerong
      @Rakerong Před 2 lety +11

      I think it's not really a main focus to figure out the science behind it, just that it's used in a way to enhance the movie. In a panicky scene, you'd want the bitten to turn instantaneous to keep up with everything. When they're slowly turning, it's to build up to something - like the girl in the beginning setting the mood to an uneasy and unnerving start and the end with the dad slowly turning to allow the viewers to get the tears flowing. But even if they were going by that rationale of the changes happening depending on bite location, they aren't consistent. The teenager girl with the baseball team was bit in the leg and got turned within seconds.

    • @cchase1282
      @cchase1282 Před 2 lety +3

      @@Rakerong to be fair baseball girl was bitten on the thigh whereas the first woman with the tourniquet was presumably bitten below the knee and the main character/other dad guy bitten on the hand so a thigh bite would reach the heart faster

    • @Rakerong
      @Rakerong Před 2 lety +1

      @@cchase1282 The thing is, even if we were to go by actual medical rationale, the more important things would be specifically the veins or arteries since they are where the blood travels through. And major arteries are located in different parts of the body. And the heart beating faster would circulate blood much quicker. A bite to the thigh could enter in the femoral artery which should work to change a person faster than a bite to the hand or neck where an artery is located.
      The real question is how fast the infection or virus or whatever it is works. It could be a Walking Dead situation where it varies. Maybe it differs with each person's immune system since real infections do encounter the immune system when they are in the body.

One of the things that happened when someone gets cataracts, is they lose their night vision. Some blind people sti have some sort of sight, usually shadows, which is helped by light hitting an object.
