They have great chemistry together. Probably not many people could make Martha laugh but Joan was one of them.
Martha: “do you remember we made calamari last time you were here?”
Joan: “Do I remember? I was sick for a week.” 😂
Joan and Martha both share a Sagittarius Moon - blunt honest, outspoken and hilarious. I think Martha loved that Joan teased out her own nature, and said stuff on her show she couldn’t (to keep her flawless facade).
People gave Melissa a hard time and accused her of being money hungry when she auction off her mom's things but this proves that Joan gave her blessings and understand that she can't force her daughter to be a hoarder.
Also I feel Martha really love Joan and enjoys having her even if she doesnt show it but she acts very different compare to her other celebrity guest where she acts condescending or annoyed. They act like old girfriends.
I bet Melissa didn't care about all thos haters.
I'm quite sure Martha missed her so much. Joan was like a regular guest on her show. I missed her. But thanks to CZcams. She's only a click away!

The only consolation of her dying is that so many new videos have been uploaded since she died, especially of her really, really old material. I have been a fan for years but still never knew what a remarkable trailblazer she was, especially for female comediennes who should have a had an equal right to say what men were allowed to say.
She absolutely was and she fought for her success against all the odds in the cutthroat world of stand up comedy with almost superhuman persistence and belief in herself, even when it seemed she was going to fail.
I never knew about the show she mentioned - how'd you get so rich. Enjoy seeing these old clips. She was so fresh and funny
Yeah and Joan is the only female comic to stay so brash and hilarious through her whole career! Both Amy shumer and Kathy griffin started very funny, but then stopped. They got scared to say the truth and became really unfunny. I'll miss Joan forever she's irreplaceable.

I like Joan she knew about kitchen work, she pushed up her very expensive sleeves, and made you laugh at same time, she an Martha helped sell each other's project's, all while entertaining, who wouldn't like friends like that

i'm very sad that joan is gone BUT i can always look up her standup or watch some of her shows on youtube and i am happy again. imagine leaving that kind of legacy, one in which you will be immortalized for all time because you were able to make people laugh, smile, and be happy! the very first introduction i had to joan rivers was in the movie "space balls" where she played the C-3PO parody droid named "dot matrix" lol....
