Talking to God and studying Scripture.
Focus on that death has been defeated. Focus on my immortality through Christ. What can defeat me when I have the Holy Spirit? Hard, but these are strong thoughts to defeat anxiety.

I found this sermon on Spotify as a podcast just a couple of hours ago. I was searching for ways to cope with debilitating anxiety, something that I’ve been struggling for months after a traumatic incident and like pastor shawn said, I’ve been believing that I will be stuck with this anxiety. That something is wrong with my brain, and I have to deal with it on my own, a constant war with intrusive and evil thoughts. When I clicked on this video within the first minute I was sobbing hysterically. I have never been so understood and felt so powerful in the moment knowing god is with me. I accept god in my life. I will praise him everyday. And I will use the strength he has given me to fight. Thank y’all.
Please pray for me and my family. We all got Covid-19 on Saturday. I know that Jesus will heal us.

Life Church thank you so much for this message. I dealed with anxiety a few years ago, it was childhood depression that needed to be healed. It was a season that God kept reminding me about the times that I was bullied… I started wondering why… I realized God wanted to heal me and He indeed healed me. Now the anxiety started to come back (from other causes) I needed this message so much, I know that God healed me one time trough prayers and He will do it again.
For anyone that is going trough similar situation, remember, we can fight back!

This was a powerful word, this came to me in the right moment, I'm struggling with anxiety and depression, and this has been so exhausting, because as the pastor said, sometimes we as a Christians think that we shouldn't be dealing with this and this makes us feel worse, and a good friend have told me that, that it was a spiritual battle and you confirmed this with this word, because sometimes I think there is no common sense in my panic attacks, but all I know is that I feel hopeless, sad, and all I need is to cry. I almost took my life back in 2012, and Pastor Shawn is so right! You will get through it and you will look back and see how much the Enemy wanted to steal from you. There are so many accomplishments, friends, experiences, and God moments I wouldn't have ever seen if I followed through on that permanent solution to a temporary problem. I have battled anxiety and depression most of my life, and something I hope other people get is that you are not "evil" or "less" of a Christian for dealing with this. Unfortunately, I used to attend a church where the senior pastor said that I was going through this because my faith and reliance on God weren't strong enough. I needed to believe in His promises more, I need to spend more time praying. I just want one person to know that you are not "lesser" because of fighting this. God made doctors and medicine for a reason, He gave people the gift of counseling for a reason. Never give up! Like Pastor Shawn said our enemy just wants to kill and destroy everything God has made. Satan knows he can't beat God so he is going to go after God's kids... because if you can't get at the person you go after the most important thing that person has.

going into the spiritual part of the battle by being in God's presence.
Really awesome that turning on the worship music &
staying in prayer for 30 minutes each day changed things
where you eventually stopped having those panic attacks.
Also, the reference from the 27:00 mark
about artillery to take into your week...🙂
I.e. The promises straight from God about what happens
in our lives when we decide to fight by getting in His presence:
Peace - Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Joy - Psalm 16:11
11 You have made known to me the path of life;
You will fill me with joy in Your presence,
with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.
Rest - Exodus 33:14
14 And the LORD answered, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Confidence - Jeremiah 17:7
7 But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in Him.
Guidance - Exodus 15:13
13 With loving devotion You will lead the people You have redeemed;
with Your strength You will guide them to Your holy dwelling.
Protection - Psalm 5:11
11 But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy.
May You shelter them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.
& Isaiah 41:10
10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you; I will surely help you;
I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
Power - Joshua 1:9
9 Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous?

I'm literally feeling everything this man is taking about right now. I've battled my whole life, but in the last few months I've felt an exhaustion and hopelessness that I've never felt before. It does help a bit hearing him speak of this stuff. I get very scared some days though that I won't be able to keep fighting this long term. Any words or prayer are welcomed!
