Going from watching Remi in onesies doing hauls in her bedroom at her parents to watching her try on wedding dresses is so surreal and I couldn’t be happier for her. I’ve unfollowed a lot of people during the years but Remi has kept me captive and I applaud her for being here for so long 🥂

REMI! I’m getting married in 2025 and also been dreading dress shopping for the same reasons. This is so comforting to hear. Thank you so much for opening up. I have my first appointment in July with my Mom and I am so nervous but you have helped ease my nerves!
I'm midsize (10/12 US) and i had the same fears/stress about going dress shopping. When i was researching bridal shops, I looked for reviews mentioning midsize dresses. When i was booking the appointment I also mentioned i was midsize just so they know. And it turned out not to be an issue! Once I started trying on the dresses i didnt even think about it again ❤
Not me crying 😂 I had a falling out with my parents right before my wedding and they chose not to come or be apart of the planning and just seeing you with your parents is just beautiful.

aww I’m sorry that was your experience, I could tell my mom had a hard time accepting that I was leaving the house and we fought every day up until the day I moved out before the wedding but I knew she was just having a hard time and ended up making peace with her even though that should’ve been her job but I did it for my own peace…I still remember the way she acted but don’t hold resentment…parents can be tricky tbh but our peace comes first

It's so sweet that you are doing stuff with your family. I was feeling the same way hand then my dad got diagnosed with cancer and passed away within a month of diagnosis. Luckily we had a whole week in Hawaii for our birthdays earlier in the year so I have that fresh good memory. It is so so so important to appreciate the time we have with the people we love when we have it.
