煙花易冷 - Fireworks Cool Easily; is a song written about a sad love story. In the late Song dynasty, a general was sent to protect the city of Luo Yang, there he met a girl and they fell in love. However as the enemies started to close in onto the city gate, the general rode out to meet his enemy after promising that he will marry the girl when he returns. He did not win the battle, he was terribly wounded, and Luo Yang was taken by the enemies. He was rescused by the monks in the mountains and there he stayed until he had healed. But as the city fell under his enemies' control, it would be a death sentence for him to return. And so, he waited. and waited. For a day when this war is over, then he would return to the city to meet his love. Years went by when the general could return to Luo Yang, to return to where he bid his love goodbye - a fallen tree. There he waited, and waited for his love to show up, till someone came along and told him that she did wait for him ... until she had passed. She had become a local story of a woman waiting for his love to return for years. She rejected everyone else just for a chance to be with the general again. But fate was cruel, and she passed before they could meet again.
I read the translation of the lyrics but the story behind gives even more depth. This story, the music, the lyrics... This song is heartbreakingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing (as well as for Jingxuan)!

Agreed..there was one performer on streets who always reminded me of JingXuan. Always looked forward to her videos too (fangfeiguzheng) The way her fingers moved were similar to JingXuan. Both so pretty and elegant.
