Put the left foot in the middle of the ride , so in the middle of 1 ta ta kick them 2 ? And the bass part is right foot first or left ? And the fast triplets if I remember now , it’s going 1, 2 ,3 or triplet and you’re going back and forth , like R L R , L R L , that’s 1 ta ta , 2 ta ta , right ? Isn’t the into called a herta ?
Yes, I play this with my right foot on the downbeats. The left foot is on the 3rd part of the triplet. The intro pattern is called a herta, but Alex mixes it up in the intro. 6 hertas, then r l l, then a group of three tripletized hertas, then r l then 4 hertas which leads into the start of the kicks. Hold this helps
He plays the snare pretty laid-back when playing these beats half-speed. It reminds me of the most laid back but great drummer from the Lester Bowie's Brass Fantasy ;-)

The opening with double bass and the floor tom pattern is tricky too. You should have covered that floor tom.
