@@scrub44 In terms of outside hitters, Pierce looks like a future National Team member, and she's only a Freshman, lol. She's so quick to the ball, with an explosive jump (she gets UP, and FAST), and a friggin quick/powerful/efficient armswing. Krause also looks great. Unlike some players (Murray), Krause looks like she's truly dedicated herself to being the best player she can be, since day 1. Her improvement year-on-year is very noticable. Beason reminds me a little of Annie Drews, the way she comes in like a freight-train and pounds the ball. And similar to Drews, Beason's biggest weakness (at least last year), was that she pounds the ball straight into the block too often. Let's see if she's improved on that this season. Didn't see Landfair or Harper this match, but at 6'5" and ATHLETIC, Landfair is gonna be a beast. Harper has shown flashes of potential, but she really underperformed last year -- in EVERY department (TONS of missed serves, poor/inconsistent passing/receiving, and she just couldn't put the ball away reliably or consistently as an attacker. In my opinion, she let all the fame/attention go to her head. And to top it off, she was caught STEALLING 5 GOLD RINGS from a jewelry shop in Lincoln (May 3rd). So, she's egocentric, narcissistic, 'above average' player, and has no morals... To me, that's a CHARACTER issue. And, especially in these times we live in, CHARACTER MATTERS.
@@djbenje4019 haha. sure. i never said she wasnt. landfair, is ALREADY ma beast. big ten player of the year? hard to be any more beastly. and, before krause got hurt, she was clearly a beast, too. ........as for murray, she OBV made some boneheaded mistakes. she def didnt handle fame. but, she HAD money. from NIL. so, it was some deeper personal issue.she was 18. so, she deserves another chance. she could have easily run to another school. hopefully, its a spark. you need layers like her that dont need to be substituted for. like beason. and, murray.
