The instructions on the nasal sprays do not tell you to angle it outward but my pharmacist did show me same method as this pharmacist here in the video. I also like to purchase Ayr Saline Nasal Gel. As you can see in the name it's a gel so it doesn't run or drip as the watery ones.

Never have this nasty drip but saline solution just tends to burn horribly instead of moisten it all up. With that technique my nose feels way more lubricated. Issue was I was more often than usual at a customer site wich is a stone quarry with alot of fine dust flying about. The skin on my hands thanks me just as much as my nose for that.

Flonase is NOT a nasal decongestant. It’s a steroid based product and it’s completely different than most nasal sprays like Afrin which attacks the mucous membranes.
You are actually supposed to gently sniff. I've never seen instructions on any nasal spray that says don't sniff at all. It really depends on your level of congestion. The more congested you are, the more forceful you need to be with your sniff, otherwise it will just drain out the front of your nostrils.
Except I have a facial tick where I snort it's a weird tick i've had forever so whenever I use sprays my body reacts and I snort inwards and it always drips down my throat. I wanna try this because the spray I use is Azelastine and it tastes like I sprayed counter spray in my mouth
why are they still using saline? I thought that by now everybody had switched to xylitol nasal sprays...they reduce bacterial adhesion and clean the snot out way better.
Xylitol nasal spray is also saline but with xylitol added. Xylitol only doesn’t work. You need saline for it to work. Xylitol is just a good extra ingredient to have in your nasal spray.
Most of them spray kind of strong, but if you use steroid nasal sprays, there's Flonase Sensimist that apparently sprays a gentler mist. Unfortunately, regular Flonase has never worked for me, so I haven't even bothered trying the Sensimist version.
