INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
8 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed
3 oz package orange gelatin mix, just the powder
16 oz of 4% fat cottage cheese, small or large curd will work
14 oz can mandarin oranges, drained
1 cup mini marshmallows
This is a great summer potluck side dish! Everyone loves it!

My maternal grandmother would make lime Jello gelatin with cream cheese balls and crushed walnuts, tasty!
Instead of mini marshmallows I make mine with pineapple tidbits! And add shredded coconut on top. It’s so versatile and tasty

This is exactly what I was looking for! I just couldn’t remember the quantities of everything. I LOVE the versatility of this salad. You can mix and match fruit and jello flavors. (Lime and pineapple with coconut flakes is a family favorite.)
My mom used to make this. She made it with strawberry Jell-O and drained pineapple. So good! Perfect for Summer!

If you add the dry Jello to the cottage cheese and mix it it turns out a lot better you don't lose the fluffiness of your Cool Whip

Yes! Some other favorites are pineapple, strawberry, mixed berry, etc. Mix it up and enjoy!

Actually my dad hated cream cheese and cottage ch 4:00 If you told him something had a bit of cream cheese in them,he wouldn’t touch it! However, he would eat this….loved it…but no one told him about the cott ch!
I was lost at cottage cheese & better with no music. I’ll make fresh oj in plain Knox gelatin, Truvia sweetener & I’ll put Fluff on the top for friends to mix in or take off, some watch sugar intake. Ps. Mandarin orange segments also.

Why u added cottage cheese that's a way different salty thing to add ? Why not add shredded coconut instead
This is an old tried and true recipe! My grandmother made it often in the 60’s. It is really good. The cottage cheese gives it some substance. Otherwise it would just be orange whipped topping. Try it! It’s easy to make delicious!
I like the stuff but can’t a person used ricotta as oppose to cottage cheese?
I suppose, it'll change the texture of the recipe, but might be worth a try?

We eat it with dinner…. then a few hours later it’s on the dessert table, if there is any left! (For Thanksgiving and Christmas parties.)
