Because consumers keep consuming. Until people stop blindly consuming and push back like PC gamers, instead of coping for multinational corporation this won't change. Consumers gonna consume

I need to get back to the Rose Room quest line and fight the Jersey Devil in Fallout 76's version of Atlantic City.
This is one of the reasons why I play retro games and barely any modem games. Soulless, open world requiring hundreds of hours to finish, filled with microtransactions, requiring accounts and logins, DRM, .... It's just about money now. Art is lost. Play '80s '90s '2000s games, there's none of that. Or support GOG instead of these platforms.

We're starting to see the end of consoles and console gaming. The next generation might very well be the last outside of Nintendo. The fact is most younger gamers are playing on PC. A lot of us older gamers are aging out of the hobby, not because we don't want to play games, but simply because we're running out of time to play. It doesn't make sense to buy 25 games a year if you can only ever finish one. We are also the gamers that are keeping console gaming alive. We grew up with console gaming, for younger millennials, maybe even their parents grew up with console gaming and passed that down to them. For younger generations, PC, which is an amazing platform, and mobile (barf) gaming is the future. I don't love it, but I am accepting it as a reality. I don't see Gen Alpha picking up a console when they have the economic purchasing power to do so.
Ok Debby downer, meantime switch just sold 140 million units and quite a few is played by younger people. There will always be non pc gaming. Maybe it will go full streaming in 20 years or so directly to your tv but these companies will still be here.

There will always be Nintendo consoles as long as Nintendo continues to produce high quality first party games that are exclusive to their own hardware.
I’m 43 and playing Judgement at present and it’s taken me 3 weeks to get eight hours from the end! We don’t have enough hours to play games as an adult with actual real life scenarios going on this is why I don’t subscribe to gamepass and tend to only play games that are 10 hours long! It’ll be great when GTA6 comes out to just focus on that one game for a while!
@@ED-209UHD for me I basically just play one game. For now that's elder scrolls online. I get about 10 hours a week of gaming time, and for an MMO that's barely enough time to keep up with the content release schedule.

That really sucks. I was thinking about getting Ghost of Tsushima on PC, but I guess I'll save some money. Its bad enough that I decided to not get a PS5 due Sony's censorship crap, but outside of a PC release for Stellar Blade and hopefully the Demon's Souls remake, I don't want to buy any other games from PlayStation.
I spent years all over the world in the military, made a lot of friends. To this day we still keep in contact and game together. Helldivers II was one of those games until Sony/playstation put the block in place for those now 180 countries as of today. So several of my friends can no longer connect and the game now sits dormant in my steam list.

I got locked out my PSN multiple times. Talked to an agent from Sony and they didn't know how to help. They said I had to talk to someone else there and the session ended.
I live in Malaysia, my mom love to play Bomberman on Famicom since the 80s. She play on Polystation since 2000s since the original console broke. So last month I bought an original famicom and we can play together, I play SMB3 like everyday lol. You're unfairly pointing the finger at Sony you also have to log into Xbox and Ubisoft to be able to play their games on Steam. Also as a PS5 owner I don't feel disgruntled sure we don't have tons of new releases but I'm okay with that I have lots of backlog games to play. I tried PC gaming I hate it they should just be happy they even got some console games on there.

The only 2 times in my life that my debit card had suspicious activity, was after sony leaks.
The biggest difference though is that helldivers added the psn after months ghost of tsushima however is being implemented on day one so while I have issue with requirements, I see a difference between the two titles

I got locked out my PSN multiple times. Talked to an agent from Sony and they didn't know how to help. They said I had to talk to someone else there and the session ended.
I live in Malaysia, my mom love to play Bomberman on Famicom since the 80s. She play on Polystation since 2000s since the original console broke. So last month I bought an original famicom and we can play together, I play SMB3 like everyday lol. Its easy right, go to shop, buy that cartridge, go back home, and play for almost 40 years with no problem lol Happy Mothers Day!
