I am a 71 year old grandmother and I like these videos too so tell that little 84-year old good for her and thank you Corporal for your videos keep them coming
Outstanding! This week on Corporals Corner, the corporal turns himself into a Swanson’s TV dinner…. Fantastic work as always, constantly turning garbage into gold!
@@recall5811 I’ve always gotten it Shawn just never acknowledged it. You ALWAYS make us feel like we’re right there. Thanks for letting us tag along. Now if we could just figure out how to share your meal…………………
It's good to learn all these helpful tips and ways to survive in the woods. I love all your video's and I know I could do this myself because of you. Thanks
I was on an army education course for 4 months and everyday for smoko we got a tray of cake or biscuits covered in foil. We collected the foil and made a giant foil ball and ours was bigger than the blokes in the other class and that made us superior. Yes, true professional soldiers one and all.... brought back some memories, Cobber.
OUTSTANDING! This was a great presentation...I often thought about what kind of shelter could be built with foil, and now here it is. The wife will NEVER find me in here....even WITH her thermal imaging.
Me and a buddy did a shelter in the woods in some pretty nasty weather, we lined the inside with 3 or 4 cheap space blankets, I’m pretty sure the reflected heat would’ve baked some biscuits!
I like the revisits and out of the box upgrades. I'd call it a win. One of the many take aways from your vids is how to improvise with different materials. You never know where you'll be or what you'll have handy in an emergency situation. Thanks corporal for keeping it fresh. Bravo.
Roast corporal in the reflector oven, forgot to say thank you last week for showing us to pop the double wall flasks/canteens to avoid a complete blow out. It opens up options.
Quite an interesting twist to camping. I'm glad nothing came along to "foil" your plans. I could just imagine 3 bears passing by saying, "Porridge, Hell! Here's a Hot Pocket!" - See you next week!
That is an odd shelter and the cost of the materials needed couldn't have been cheap either, but you put together superbly and it stood up like you hoped it would.
I was going to be a smart ass and make a couple wisecracks but then I realized, with the way things are going these days I might be living in one. Lol.
As you said, Probably not the best ideal but it will do for an emergency shelter if that's all one can find. Outstanding A.F my friend. I always look forward to a Sunday with Corpral's Corner.
One of the things I dig here are that even though something like this may not be totally practical all on its own, you do get a sense of how you can use odd materials you may have to hand to make it work. Creative AF. Bravo
This week's episode is a wrap. Another cold night foiled again Inside a Reynolds style heat trap. Learning new ways to conserve heat To make Corporal Baked Potato And veggie kabobs with ribeye meat. These are lessons that we be lovin'... Watching the Corporal on Sunday Making human survival ovens. Semper Pi (tomorrow is 3/14, sorry if I am repeating myself)
Corporal's Corner is always on the creative side of nature. Foil has strength when overlapping I'd think it would take flying debris in a gust of wind to penetrate the foil. Awesome AF
About as useful as a chocolate kettle, but entertaining AF. I never cease to marvel at your ingenuity in getting these builds to work. Please keep the videos coming.
Well baked Corporal Potato...Hmmm....Another bucket list Build done, Outstanding!!! If foil is all you had, It would work in a pinch. Now throw a cheap blue tarp over it and you would have a kind of Morr's super shelter in the making. Hmmm...idea....Keep it going Corporal, you are stirring my imagination into work mode!!
You can always take the extra blanket and spread it under for even more thermal regulation. Add a plastic flap door for an oven in the woods. Great show, keep it up.
I’ve read some of the comments from the simple-minded trolls about foil bad - environmental disaster blah blah. Truth is in a survival situation, aluminum foil used correctly can keep you warm in an otherwise cold miserable night. True…it is noisy. Given. True…not a practical shelter material…by itself. However, as a reflector for the fire it excels. Added to an already existing structure, it can reflect even meager heat to help warm you. When I was a kid in Boy Scouts, we made reflector ovens out of foil to cook in. Matter of fact, it was a required cooking method to earn a merit badge. Screw the trolls. You’ll be the first ones to die from exposure. Also, loved to Pee Wee Herman and Sesame Street Count references. They weren’t lost on us. Rock on brother! US Navy Chief retired.
The food looked great. The fire was nice. Maybe if you laid the foil out ahead of time and covered the long edges with that clear packing tape, the foil would have been strong enough. Or maybe just use those nifty, heavy-duty, reflective tarps. Brave attempt. Keep on rockin'!
Brother Bear, I have an 💡 what if you started a type of fitness with added stress course. So we as your loyal followers can practice being under a physical stress while practicing our skills to simulate a stressfull environment and the use of the skills you share with us. ??
Another fun project! Not one for the rain though. Can you imagine the sound? I hope the bank line manufacturers appreciate what you do for them. Not everyone can popularize ugly black string.
Semper Fi from a Navy guy. I’ve been a sub for a while and haven’t seen anything (at least that I remember) about wee beasties in the woods. What do you do about ticks? I use Sawyer Permethrin to treat my clothing. Even with that I still pick one or two occasionally. BTW, great content!
Cpl. Kelly, Outstanding Video and Information AF. Always Thinking outside the box. I appreciate you taking of your time and passing on the knowledge and craft. I like the way it would reflects the heat all around you. Thank You for your time in Service and Keeping US Safe. You Are The Master Woodsman and Buschcrafter. Tim L.

Great video.
A real bushcraft man always thinks outside the box and can come up with a fix for his problem. Outstanding job.

Man, I'm glad it didn't rain. The sound would have been maddening. I love the "out of the ordinary " shelters you teach.
i have a lot of anxiety about going to work on monday’s. i watch your videos every sunday to help put my mind at ease. thank you.

The jiffy pop house in the woods. Definitely thinking outside the box with this one.
Differently a different build. I'm just glad your plans didn't get foiled. Lol. Love that thinking out of the box.
You're the best instructing example on how to think practically, that I've ever seen, Corporal.
It’s Sunday night, time for Corporal’s Corner!
“Anything with a rib-eye is outstanding” 👍🏻
I second that!!
I literally just said "oh snap, it's sunday. That mean's a new video from the Corporal." And just like that, there it was. Cool AF.
Excellent idea using aluminum foil to create a oven effect for a warm sleeping area. Be safe, stay healthy., & God Bless everyone.

Hell yeah!! Just got notification and it was uploaded 18 minutes ago!! Been eager to see this week's episode!!😁 Corporal you make my day outstanding!!
Agreed - the noise would be a killer in the wind. Regardless. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to do this!
In an emergency, nobody would care about the noise.
I love you're late 70's early 80's references.
Best part of Sunday is... Corporal's corner!
what a challenge, remarkable. That foil shelter actually looks comfortable. I enjoy your creativity every week. Keep them coming.
Me and a buddy did a shelter in the woods in some pretty nasty weather, we lined the inside with 3 or 4 cheap space blankets, I’m pretty sure the reflected heat would’ve baked some biscuits!
Got enough spare foil to clean the grill all summer, and what a way to use it! Nice! 👍🇺🇲💪
It’s the “Corporal’s easy bake oven”!!!!!
Wow. Those barrel liners are legit tough. And a reference to the Count!👍
I can only find 3mil heavy duty trash bags around here..so I double up on them.
In all the years I have watched you, that’s got to be the strangest thing you ever made! Still outstanding!
Sunday nights. Beer, cheese and ham sandwich and corporal’s corner. Outstanding.
Your skill in building these shelters is amazing and inspirational. Perfect looking shelter!

You are giving us many options to use when things look hopeless and we have no gear. I will be forever greatful .
Coffee $1. Corporal’s Corner basically free with internet connection. Not having to watch “the war” on TV, priceless.
Another outstanding video. Simple and definitely outside the box. 👍

So close to cracking 1,000,000 bro! Let’s have a big party!!
Said this last year you need to make a book, shelter building survival and cook book I would buy it.
Smart move with the new land acquired. Raised bed looks very comfortable. Sure do have some nice hard wood to work with there. Keep on truckin!
Boy! That saw blade works better then last weeks. ‼️‼️
Comfy cozy. Tina

Anyone else not have a single ad in this video?
As usual, Sunday fajitas, cigar and Corporals Corner. Thank you for your efforts. I always learn something.
Interesting to see the foil shelter, but not a good idea as you say. Watching your knots and woodcraft is always good. Thanks.
Ill bet that heat bounced off that foil and made things so nice and toasty.
AF is fragile AF. Great video as usual. Thank you, Shawn.
Awesome AF, Corporal builds the worlds first EMP proof bush craft shelter.
Man the 6 mill trash bag hammock is a cool idea. Love the video

I was waiting for your comments on the temperature inside your shelter. And also the thermometer. Would have been interesting.
