I love this configuration. Using the modified articulated dump truck looks pretty capable. Six wheel drive and the super wide flotation tires. I wish I could operate this to see how well it works.
Great video, but clearly the Volvo's tyres are not going to last long, dragging the dead weight of no-drive double pans. The two engined motor scrapers are a far superior design because all the wheels drive.

Something to do with cents per cubic metre? This setup might be better at these large flat (ish) construction sites while others would be more versatile in steeper or more confined areas, but cost more per cubic metre shifted.

40ton is what it can carry,when loaded,as a dumper.The truck,with three axles,actually weighs,about 31 tons.

that works far better than the old scraper. the old ones were a big miss conception, they always felt underpowered and hardly able to move the weight.

The back bumper on the K-tec scrapers are built so you can use a bulldozer to push from behind weather it be clay or hard pan
They work/load better in clay

Pair of 637's are much faster. They had these on a job and got rid of them to slow
We ran them for a year and they wouldn’t keep up with our 627s. They were so slow it was faster to load them with a 349f and use them as haul trucks
