Can I get more info about the res, like how you got to stay there ,i really love it by the way I'll be studying there next year as a first year
Hey, the UCT res system is made up of 3 tiers, the 1st tier is for 1years and the one I’m currently in is a 2nd tier (for 3rd year) and the the last tier is for postgrads. You’re placed by the res system but you have to apply.

No I didn’t, I only got accepted after receiving my matric results
Heyyy so I’m just interested in what the rules are for res. For example, is there a curfew? Let’s say I wanna go get mods at like 12, can I do that? Mr D/Uber eats, are you able to deliver it to your dorm?
Hey, so there isn’t a curfew, you can go in and out as you please. You’ll need a student card of course. For deliveries you would have to go outside/ reception to collect them. They are not allowed to deliver to your door.

in first and second year you dont, but when you go on to third year and postgrad you do change res

Not sure if you will see this. But I'm in matric this year hoping to go to UCT. Can you give me some tips to apply?
Uhm okay I think it depends on what you’re applying for, and the points required. But what I can say is make sure you do well, it’s very competitive, also I’m not sure if you will be able to write the NBT test seeing it’s a pandemic but if you do study for it and do well in it as well. UCT takes the NBT seriously, oh one more thing apply early🌻 good luck and if you have any more questions you can dm me on IG I’ll be happy to assist.

I think it depends on perspective, I still feel it’s been good to me. Besides you can’t just cancel the year in it’s 2nd quarter. Even though it may not look like it there’s still an opportunity to make it a great year.
