I can’t imagine inviting someone else in to see it. When I had this issue I hid it from people LIVING IN THE HOME. For YEARS. It was miserable. A miserable way to love all around. I’d be so scared to let outsiders in but it’s amazing how people seem to understand you’re genuinely there to just help and not judge.
Why can't I find all these videos in the shorts? Did they just upload them to tiktok? Well done you did an incredible job. You really helped a woman who desperately needed it. We need to raise more awareness of this issue and how it can be solved. People don't think they can solve it and so it just gets worse and worse till it costs then their life. Through an accident or through illness. What's sad is it mainly happens with people who got sick. Then they were just never able to fix it. I wish their was charities that they could apply to when it started rather than when it got to these latter stages. It warms my soul seeing that there's people out there doing something so incredible. I wish I could join and help someone like this but I can't stand up so I'd be more of a hindrance than a help. 8 just wish there was somewhere that I could donate to to pay for things like this that help people get their lives back. It would be something that a huge amount of people would donate to which would more than help pay for these clean ups, and it could be used to help find local cleaners who could come in weekly or monthly to help them keep on top of it and teach them how to do it and how to make a regular routine. Many people have just never been taught because of controlling parents which is a huge contribution to the issue. Because they move out don't know how to maintain their homes, which quickly fall apart and send up a mess. Then they get depressed and it gets worse, then they can't maintain their personal hygiene either so they stop having normal interactions and cut off from the world which only makes the depression even worse, because now they're isolated in a home that's full of crap is extremely infested and they get more and more miserable, which often ends up leading to addiction which only makes the issues worse. We could help people when it started but instead society shames them. We need to end the stigma around asking for help. We need to make it something that people are willing to do as SOON as they START struggling. Not a last resort. It breaks my heart knowing that they're stuck living like this. We should be helping our neighbours. Not belittling or mocking or shaming. As soon as we notice each other struggling we should go over give them a pat on the back and say hay I have a few hours to kill I could use some company. Is there anything I could do to help you? It always amazes me how neighbours will see another neighbour struggling with their garden's because of obvious physical disabilities and yet they just talk crap about them instead of offering to help. You know that being disabled means we have to pay more just to live and yet they talk crap because they can't afford a gardener every month. Just start helping each other. You never know when it could be YOU who's struggling. I'm so proud of all you guys making this a trend. I'd rather see things like this going viral and making money over teen girls dancing like stripper's or boys acting like rappers and thugs 😂 this is the first time I've seen trends happening that are actually HELPING people and I LOVE it. I hope this is the start of something special. Imagine if EVERY PR campaign was using their budgets to do the most good as their advertising. Ohh coke cola decided to pay for every child's insulin this year. Well Pepsi ended blindness. Like how scrub daddy uses their ad budget to sponsor hoarder clean ups and these guys are sponsored. *We can only save the world with one good deed at a time.*
Now I’m 18, I’ve been struggling for a while. I have extra cords, extra clothes a little over the normal amount, paper, art supplies, and more. But it’s not very bad. I’m trying to tackle the situation but it’s really hard. I don’t know where to start. I really want help
It's so easy to bring items in, it takes work to stay on top of things. I started with "1 in 1 out". For example: If I buy a new shirt, I put 1 in a donation bag. Also listening to stories like this while I clean helps keep me motivated. You can do this!😊😊😊
