This always played when someone extremly powerful and evil was in the scene, and I still think its funny how it also played when the opera owner tried to attack Agnea in her chapter 5 lmao. Like, it played during scenes with Kaldena, Bandelum, Harvey, Petrichor, Roque, etc who are all extremly powerful people(Harvey alone could kill all other bosses with the one true magic) and then it also plays with the opera owner right before being curbstomped by Veronica lmao
Not just the fact that La'mani's "tragic" motive for revenge is using this music, but also the fact that the music ends with Agnea being absolutely disappointed by said motive.
Harvey is unironically the only character in all of Octopath who is pure evil. Others just abide by their nature(Galdera, Vide, Roque), some have some tragic motive(Matthew, Oboro, Dolcinea), while some do their deeds in search of something(Lucia, Claude, Darius), and some are twisted by their ideologies(Miguel, Ori, Arcanette), and then theres Harvey. He isnt a God acting by his nature, a good-natured man abandoned by everyone or being some kind of tragic, sympathetic figure. The moment Osvald was shown to be his equal all he wanted to do was to make the man suffer.
It’s one thing to be envious of someone, but its another thing to kidnap someone’s wife (who was later killed) and daughter (brainwashed to believe that Harvey was her own father, and it is shown that Harvey was VERY abusive to her).
Harvey probably wouldn't have done those horrible things to Osvald if it werent for Rita and Elena. The moment he learned Rita and Elena held the keys to his answer of the One True Magic, he turned Osvald's life upside down, without even a second thought. Osvald could have been a petty street magician and Harvey would have still burnt his house down, all to chase the answer.
@@alexanderwidmar2850 pure evil comes in many flavors, and these 2 certainly fit the bill. Enjoying destroying people's lives is pure evil. Executing people for the pettiest of reasons or even no good reason at all is too
I think I said it before on a torrent of evil vid and it was removed, but I could see this theme working well as one of the Truth themes from the Ace Attorney series.
To me, the name of this song is so misleading. On purpose, but still... There's nothing evil about how this song evolves. Yeah it starts despairing and eerie and off kilter, but it grows to be so heroic. The second half feels like the perfect cap to it, as well. A question and answer; Desperation in the strings from the left (sinister) ear, and a bright, triumphant answer from the brass from the right (assuming wearing headphones). This song may play during the darkest moments, but to me all it does is scream of hope and determination.
Kaldena: Out of the way, Crick! 👿 Crick: Why, Captain Kaldena?!... 😭 Kaldena: Because through Vide is the only way I'll be able to watch Boku no Pico! 😈 Crick: But don't you know that shit's for pedo- 😨 *dies by Kaldena*

that was peak comedy ngl
"Because of you, I got so angry, I attacked a dog! and it gets worse... because that beast actually stood its fucking ground! I hate you Agnea!"
i feel like kaldena could contend with harvey but yeah that was big stupid at it’s finest

It’s like that one song from Persona 4 that plays both during tragic murders and minor inconveniences.
Mugen and Harvey: *exists*
This song:

Temenos' Chapter 1 opening be like...
I am here after playing through his Chapter 1. Holy...
Arcanette’s reveal + this theme gave me goosebumps
“Gahahahahaha! Yes, seethe! Feel the rage within!”
Best soundtrack in Octopath Traveler 2

Hmm, I agree! Probably one of the later games though, like TGAA. They got more imposing as the series went on, IMO.
Oh, yes, Harvey's theme
Fantastic
What was the next line?
