Recreating My Entrance plus Trading Lobby (Speed Build) | Animal Crossing: New Horizons

- I finally got the time to work on Sylvari 2.0 this week. Started with my entrance because I figured this'll be the easiest since I've already pictured it out in my head even before. I wanted to build an entrance that serves my visitors, but at the same time, makes them wonder what's inside.
The entrance leads to my trading lobby. Seeing a lot of trading concerns and horror stories dealing with visitors, I thought of having my trades right in my entrance area. Visitors can easily navigate to the Nook's Cranny and Able Sisters. I don't need to worry about them getting lost around the island looking for the shops, wondering if they're messin up with my flowers, fruits, and money trees without my consent. I can just simply fence the alley to the town hall if I'm not allowing anyone to go inside. The coconut trees beside Nook's Cranny is also impassable.
I've setup the stalls for items I'm selling so buyers can just get them there rather than picking them up from the ground. For crafting services, a DIY workbench is also ready with waiting seats. Vanity is available right at Able Sisters if people want to change their looks. I also added a wardrobe because I like to change outfits before I go to the airport~
Currently, my favorite part in my entrance area is the Nook's Cranny. Visitors can relax by the beach while waiting for their turn whenever I host turnip runs or them waiting for their friends.

This option should only be allowed if you are friends with people on your switch. Otherwise, visitors entering via dodo code should not be allowed.
^No, it should only be an option if you have them added as a best friend in-game. Not if they’re just friends on your switch. Most people add too many randoms they’ve played other games with for that.
Maybe they should add something like Minecraft bedrock where you control their permissions of what they’re able to do?

I always watch these videos at 3 AM, get flooded with inspiration to start something of my own the next day, then lose that inspiration and start doubting my ability to follow through so I never even start. I hate my brain sometimes. This was really inspiring to watch for my 3AM self, I hope I have the motivation to do my own renovations when I wake up. I'm off work the next two days and have nowhere to go so I have no excuse but my own lack of faith and trust in myself.

I’ve seen so many islands on CZcams that have made me want to change my island and I got overwhelmed and ended up just sticking with what I had, but this is the first video I’ve seen that’s actually made me want to change my island and feel that it’s possible for me to do! I’m so going to recreate this! I think the problem i have when it comes to getting inspiration from people’s islands is that I never see the process of how they got it to that point, but my island entrance is the exact same as yours and I love how you worked with it, so this video is so helpful! So so well done 😍🙌🏻
Also idk why but I NEVER had the idea to put nooks cranny (or any buildings) on the beach, but it works so well and feels so realistic

I think having the option to terraform with your friends is a great idea, but you should have to talk to Tom Nook about it and both players should have it unlocked, when doing so the other player gains the ability to use your rescue services to prevent getting trapped. We should also be able to place furniture when doing so!

I was running out of space on my island and I had trouble coming up with ideas but your video made me realise that things can be small and compact without actually looking for feeling too close together. I really like this! I love how you incorporated the beach for your nooks cranny and you’ve inspired me to move my shop!
I did find a little design flaw though. If someone wanted to, they find their way into the rest of your island by slipping in between the palm tree and bush (the unleveled spot where the grass and sand meets). The gap can be seen at 7:32.
Update: I was able to block off the gap by replacing the bush with other items. I ended up using log stakes
They actually couldn't slip in between there, I made sure. 😁 There's a beach ball that blocks the way, I think you can see it at 7:49 onwards~ The palm-tree lamp is also a 1.5 x 1.5 so it looks like there's a bit more space~

That's a good idea sectioning off the island like that! I had wondered why there was a fence before town hall at the beginning, but after reading the description I kinda want to do the same now! It'd certainly make things feel safer when I invite strangers over to my island for trades.

Something I was thinking as I was stealing your idea for the nook cranny is that you can definitely pass the blocked area with the palmtrees and the bikes because you can't place anything on top of the the slight slope from the land to the slope :( It look really good though so I think I'll still do it like that and just have a secret beach over there or something.

Thank you! I have tried replanting plants without digging and many times they don't get planted to the spot where I wanted them to be. I also use those holes as measurement for spaces~

Btw, as a tip!: you can actually plant flowers, bushes and trees without carving a hole ^^ You save so much time and your shovel will break less often :)
Hiya, I've tried planting without shovel before but sometimes they don't get planted to areas where I want them. I always use the holes for dimensions and spaces. I can visualize them that way~ ;)
