I love watching this show. Michael and Ashley are such a great couple. You can tell how much they care about each other. And, so talented at restoring these old homes. They are the perfect couple to do this, as you can see it is their passion. I have probably watched each show at least twice. I live in a newer Victorian and have many antiques so a show like this is just wonderful. I also watch all the other fixer-upper shows, but none had been about fixing up homes for the 1800's and early 1900's. Saving these historical homes is really important, and I am happy to see Michael and Ashley doing that. Please keep it up, even though it would be hard with the three children, cute darling daughters. I hope the girls learn from their parents and continue the tradition.

Having lived in Galveston for years, I wonder what kind of problems they have with crime. The house that had a fire looked like a meth lab fire and some of the houses look like old crack houses. But I am glad to see someone putting so much effort into cleaning up and improving the city and saving old houses.
One thing we found was that no matter where you dug a hole, you would find debris from houses destroyed in the 1900 storm

Those couple are good n doing great job on the houses, the lady has great ideas, i like it, sometimes she is very annoying but its ok, hope she can fix that as she does on the homes

Can someone tell me when season 5 is going to air? When I looked it up it said May 3rd but I’ve been checking every day since then and it still only shows 4 seasons . I subscribe to Discovery + and have the Magnolia Network but no season 5 for Restoring Galveston!!!!

I like this program, but it seems like the most color they put in the homes are on the outside. The new trend is white. Bland. Looks like apartment life with all the white. Or in their case that exposed wood. So white and brown.
Usually on these husband and wife design/build shows the wife is the all-wise, all-knowing, long-suffering creative genius and the husband is reduced to being the big lovable goof that does all the grunt work.
However, this show is a refreshing change because he has a lot more design sense than she does.
How is this a soda pop shop? They took something from an Asian country, gave zero credit where due, and put a sign in there store of the origanl business which has nothing to do with what they re-built this building into, and then charge someone to watch their show that has nothing to do with the history of the site and "their project." Wasn't a soda pop shop a place for people, younger ones, to have a few cents go hang out together and socialize? Rolled ice cream comes from Thailand, and at most, is 35 cents a cup currently. Your better then this Texas. 😂
Micheal is a great guy but his wife is just like every single husband wife rehab show with the exception of, "Fixer to Fabulous" where the wife is usually the dominant, overbearing, talkative, and who over talks the husband when they are doing the testimonial. The wife is often a covert bully who obviously wears the pants and the tool belt in family. The husband is a henpecked, construction guru who after complaints will eventually give in to the whim, whining and badgering of the wife. I don't like Jenny and Dave's designs as much but she is nice to her husband. She's almost overly protective and easily scared of any tilt, tetter and attempted loading but she not condescending to Dave. If she makes a design suggestion that can't be done, she accepts it. Hometown is the same. The Erin talks over Ben so much until he just shuts down and yields to her. I'm a female so I am not a chauvinistic. I just don't like inequities in a relationship.
The wife is so so mean to her husband Michael. I don't like her at all. Love love. Love this program but not her. She's very very mean and demeaning to her husband. 😢😢😢
This show is good. The husband is nice, but the wife is so bossy. She just gets bossier with each episode.😅. She plows through with giving very little thought to what her husband suggests. Cut back on the caffeine Ashley.
I agree Ashley is bossy but they do make a cute couple 😊

The most boring show ever its more like a talk show.
I love The Magnolia Network. After seeing this trailer, I most likely will not watch this show. I am more interested in the subject of the work, how to, decorating and the finished product. Not created drama and comical banter. A little goes a long way. I lose interest and it is just silly. A little banter without the repeated one liners and crashing of walls would be appreciated. Is this a how to and beautiful results or a comedy show ?

I discovered it when it first aired. After a couple of episodes, I started telling my friends, family and co-workers about it. They also got hooked and started telling the people in their circle of acquaintances. And so on...
