Well this episode shows the marine inside Gibbs.... you can hear it in his voice and see in his eyes, he feels sorry for the guy. cause he went out to defend his county, rescued another soldier on his back... came back home and got psychological problems. I am not a soldier and was never in the swiss army.. cause of pysical problems... but I got the biggest respect for any veteran... ziva shows some of her mossad skills here.... I like that... she was always the best of the ladies in NCIS...she has heart,soul, and good lord she got a punch...
Say, it was 5 vs 1. One is Mossad, one is a combat Scout Sniper, one is a long time field agent and former detective, one is an injured but combat Marine, and even the least qualified guy is a field agent with some tactical training.
Ziva didn't do it by herself. The guy was giving as good as he got, until his buddy grabbed his legs out from below, allowing everyone else to pile on top of him. I'm not going to predict who would have won in the end had it been straight up one on one fight, but BOTH of them would have taken some real damage. Though they have different styles, both are highly skilled, trained, and experienced fighters. Ziva I'd give an advantage in being able to think a bit more rational at the moment, but the soldier would also have an advantage in that as a male he has more natural muscle mass (aka stronger) and the surge in adrenaline he's experiencing from the situation may also play in his favor as far as heightened senses and reaction. You could argue that Ziva would be experiencing the same, but hers would be more situational awareness, versus his being more instinctual. Again these are just factors and I'm not picking who would win, but it would be a heck of a fight to watch.
I missed these group of actors, Ziva, Kate, Tony, Sloane, even Bishop, and I miss Gibbs the most. New ones are doing great too, but these ones are just nostalgic

Unpopular opinion, but I was hoping for a storyline between Ziva and Damon more than Tony. They would have been a bad ass couple figuratively and literally.
This is a great clip from a great series. You want to talk about a real SuperSoldier. Read up on Harlem Hellfighter Henry Johnson aka Black Death. He came under attack by about 36 German soldiers while on post duty in the Argonne Forest in 1918. He basically fought them and prevented them from taking another soldier prisoner. He suffered 21 wounds in this ordeal. He used only grenades, the butt of his rifle, a bolo knife and his fists during this encounter. This man seriously deserves to have some attention paid to him by Hollywood.
That team was lucky to have Ziva, when they had him on the floor and the camera went on Ziva and the Israeli music was played I felt a good feeling inside

That Marine can't be blamed for how he was used in an experiment ot make him into a super soldier. Ziva put up a good fight against the Marine, though she wasn't happy to do it.
The marine actually did it to himself. He was so desperate become a marine that he used a steroid regimen that was more hard core than most bodybuilders. That's the reason they withheld his medal at the end of the episode. The marines were unaware that he was using steroids in direct violation of the ucmj.
Ziva was the only member in the Team except Gibbs who served in the military, and so she and Gibbs were the only people who knows what he wants, get back into service to support his brothers and sisters. He just want to get back into service to save his fellow Marines. Zitat knows that he had saw terrible things, but his only desire was to protect other Marines from getting into the same situation! It was so emotional when Gibbs give him his own Silver Star after he was dishonourable discharged.
Gunnery Sgt Gibbs got a window into Cpl Derth's troubled mind, by talking to him marine to marine. Whilst Derth was in the interrogation room, Gibbs walks in and starts the questioning with "you've gotten yourself into a whole heap of trouble, marine. Now what seems to be the problem?" Derth replied " I want to kill people sir". Gibbs" Does that feel right,son to want to kill anyone? Derth: No sir, I'm not right,I have a dark fog that just won't lift and my memories are in tatters. Gibbs: What does it feel like? Derth: Needles and pills sir! A 10 minute conversation got more from this troubled marine than months in a secure unit.
As someone who was told by various vets who were and possibly still are when I was homeless that I had PTSD I couldn’t figure out how. Well talking with them I ended up remembering. Stuff. Life can drop kick you. I noticed in some clips that Ziva may have it. I’m sure some others do. Humor is escape. Even dark humor.
