Practice Tips with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago: Oboe

What is the best way to practice? How can we use our time efficiently? How can we maximize our joy in music along with our progress? Through a partnership with DePauw University’s 21st Century-Musician project (21cm.org), we tap the wisdom of performers with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s elite training orchestra for young professional musicians.

I love how you bring music back to its basics.... We all love to play at full speed... but reminding us about hearing each note at a very slow speed humbles us and forces us to see where we are in need of improvement with and between each note. Thank you for your kind approach to teaching us and sharing your own experience with music.
