Kane Odam It turned out I didn’t need to jump start my watch. It just turned on automatically when I put replacement battery in.
Mobius494 LOL. A similar thing happened with me as well. I just had to jostle the battery a little and it cut right on lmao.
Stick a thumbtack down the middle and pry it out..
Sometimes pressing two buttons at once will work (it did with my old Casio G-Shock, very similar to the exact watch in this video), but anything conductive will do the trick, such as a thin paperclip.
It seems the AC test point must short to the top ( + ) of the battery to reset the watch. My G-shock works by this procedure.

I replaced the battery in both of my watches some time ago. The only thing I didn't know was the proper way to loosen that metal clip. After I put fresh batteries in I didn't need to do the tweezer thing to jump start either of them.

It did on my old when when I got the repairman to do it. They actually have a disclaimer to say there's no longer any guarentee of water resistance in the event of battery replacement unless it's sent back to Casio.
Hello, I've just managed to change the battery on my G Shock DW 5600E but I have no more sounds ! Nor alarms neither bips pressing the different buttons. Any ideas ? Thanks
Olivier Bert perhaps you accidenly loosing spring contact buzzer...
You might’ve damaged the spring, or you put the back cover the wrong way

At 2:42 one can clearly see that the person is acting as if he is opening a new battery, but actually not opening the Maxell package & reuses the old Panasonic one.😉. Who all noticed it?

Will this make water ressint watches less water resistant
No, because water resistance is achieved by screws and rubber/plastic rings. No adhesives are used. Thus, opening up your watch will have no negative effects on water resistance, if you reassemble it properly

Yes, the gaskets must be in good condition; crown, back, crystal, and sometimes buttons.

That's why he used plastic tweezers to remove the battery bro, the metal ones are just to do the AC reset on the watch. Hope this helps!

Most watches have 10 year battery. I just replace the watch. Its a good excuse for something fresh

Opened the watch. Realized they made removing the battery as complicated as they could. Grabbed a hammer. Smashed the watch. Bought a new watch.... ridiculous how we need "special tools" like microscopic tweezers to change a fucking battery....
My watch cost £200, I aint gonna use no hammer but I feel your pain ;).
Yeah that metal clip was a pain in the ass. It was even harder to put it back in because the bending was making it hard to snap back underneath the plastic holder.
