Personaly, in 16 years of playing, I have played up to 29-30 once, against my twin brother. Very rare and fun to do
Lee Zii Jia which is Yonex All England Badminton Open 2021 finals in game 1
@@psyphorgaming3371 dumb fuck he's replying to the question of "who else played 30-29 against axelsen"
That championship should be seriously discounted. None of the Chinese players played due to the pandemic.
This is peak CL. People say he is defensive. But had a damn poweful lethal smash and great backhand. No wonder Axelson is great today. In his youth henhad to battle with LD, LCW and CL undoubfully 3 of the greatest badminton players ever played..🎉
Actually this match is the first 30-29 in World Championships history, not Men's single history. 30-29 first appeard in 2006.2 and at least 4 times in 2007.
Do you think you are a smarty pants? Or just someone who has access to BWF database?
@@zfkdiyi To be honest, it is quite difficult to validate this as a fact. Someone needs to access to have all the match records.
Noted, thanks so much for the fact buddy! Sorry that I couldn't find the 30-29 men's singles game in 2006 and 2007, but I did find Zhang Ning vs Xie Xing Fang in Japan Open 2006, can you tell me which game they are please? Muchly appreciated!
5:18 No, Chen Long win the point, win the match; Axelsen win the point, go to the third game.
Basically whoever served, fked the point up is what I was able to deduce😂😂😅 except for 3-4 points out of 30
It's already really intense 20-20 or 21-20. You need to have such a stable mindset and be able to stay calm in that situation to then go on and win the game. In badminton, usually after losing 4 points in a row, ie 4-0 most people will not have the mindset to turn back the game
@@skitty_yt9883yeah I know that, I myself play badminton, it was just an observation😅
No, whoever wins the point doesn’t automatically win the match. If Axelsem had won he would only have one the set, taking the match to a third game.
Edit: leaving autocorrect typos in for posterity
@@rotyler2177 Obviously if I spelled it right the first time, the second one was autocorrect
If an old point system applied to this game then nobody would have won point after 15-15. There would be only service break..😅
Lee zii jia also played 30-29 with victor
It's an error, it was a second game, only Chen Long could win, Axelsen just could push the match into the deciding game.
安赛龙那时候好年轻。这比赛双方的神经都是铁打的。谌龙好样的!
Can you upload the full video of this match??
I mean highlights of the first set too.
Its a request.
What is the name of the music at the end? 5:53
Woops, this match got long (pun intended)
I remember playing a 30-28 game which was very sad.
Bro please make a video on kentomomota comeback win against kidambi srikanth in badminton Asian team championship 2024.
Axensel only be confident when not to have to face Momota 😂😂😂
👍❤️
lee zii jia viktor axelsen 2021
How about Jonatan Christie's comeback win against Axelsen after being down 10-19 in the deciding set, he won 11 straight points to beat Axelsen 21-19. There was drama too, Axelsen hit the net with his racket, but umpire did not see it causing J. Christie to lose focus in the match.
battle of dragons !
What was Chen and axelsen's racket?
none other than Mr "I will win Olympic gold" LZJ
he said his target is gold and has the potential to win it, but he never said he will 100% win it, grow up dude
@@edson4169 True, and I think he's right. Mindset, technicality, power is all there but I'm not sure if he's able to keep up with Christie's current stamina. Then again, I also feel like lzj is holding back a lot in every match preserving energy, even in the thailand final
@@Blitzhax lol this olympics will be the toughest ig kunlavut christie sen lee zee jia chou axelsen shi yu qi ginting everybody seems in their top form idk why but i feel the olympics would be very interesting and fun to watch
@@the_Unbeaten I agree, but don't know about ginting tho. Don't get me wrong he's one of my favourites but he doesn't seem at his best. And neither does axelsen
This is a very interesting game, offering many insights into how tall players strategize and attempt to win. By playing more drive shots in order to take away the net play and the lifts, is it a viable strategy against tall players? I want some insight for my own games. Thank you.

I bet neither of them fancied a 3rd game.🤗
I am sure someone has played the same score out there in the big wide world?
Lee Zii jia
damn, axelsen was just only 21. cant be
当谌龙穿上粉色球服时,我就知道对面要输了
So many commentary mistakes.
In my local club the match would go on to 100-99 coz everyone is dumb af
Scoring format needs looking at,not good for players long term health, spectators and certainly no good for TV hence never a full game shown.
"Chen Long at its prime", lmao
TIL Chen Long does not have a gender.
Chen Long was a world class player just been over shadowed by Lin Dan, no doubt if Chen Long started his career after Lin Dan retired it would of been a different story…
not in first..do you just born?
these biased commentators are unbearable
