I loved the way it bounced back and forth. It made it interesting. And you were following them as adults but getting to see flashbacks of their younger (then older) selves. I wish there were more shows with this structure.
Me too! I feel like the back and forth makes you understand more of their actions as adults and how/why they have certain feelings and attitudes towards each other.

I want to read the book. I did not like the bouncing back and forth throughout decades. It was hard to feel connected to these characters. Also the whole DL woke shit got on my nerves. Every person Kate was attracted to was a person of color? But married a white dude? And Her brother and daughter gay? which I know is NOT in the books! This stuff has got to stop. Why do authors allow their stories to be ruined by woke PC garbage? And it is insulting to watch I for one know what your doing it's stupid.
Netflix always has to go woke on everything.
