Love this podcast and DDP & Jake are great together. BUT, Jesus Christ, these ads have gotten WAY too intrusive recently. I don't mind the odd one or 2, maybe 3 at a push throughout 1 episode, but an unnecessarily large chunk of the beginning of this one was 1 long infomercial. Not cool.
So glad Dallas is back to talking wrestling. He's always been my favorite wrestler, but hearing him talk about yoga for years has been a little different.
If KFC paid these guys, it'd be an hour long infomercial on the benefits of original recipe breading. Jake would talk about the evils of Popeyes and how DDP got him off deep fried shrimp. Conrad would hard sell the gravy and how he drinks it with a straw. Meanwhile I'd keep watching because I love this shit. Gobbless
Jake should of definitely been a World Heavyweight Champion in WWF, WWE today, but man that great era that i grew up in the 80s and 90s bcz i am 46yrs old, The Snake was sooo over and talk about wrestling psychology damn that guy has it in spades! Warrior had several good matches. With Savage, Sergeant Slaughter just to name two. Jake whether you like it or not Warrior meant a lot to a lot of wrestling fans. He did make it huge impact on the transition from wrestling to sports entertainment. He put butts in seats. You said you forgave Warrior. I feel it's very negative to keep taking shots at a man that died and who you said you had made peace with. I love you ,I'm glad you're still here. Very sorry about Scott! I cried watching the resurrection. That Warrior comment was just like nails on a chalkboard to me though. It's not hurting Warrior if you choose to continue to carry around bitterness and resentment. Just hurts you. I'm 12-years clean(so I relate), you are one of my heroes and I care about you. We're all growing and learning (hopefully). Please take this as the encouragement that it's intended.

The 9-26- 1977 MSG Dusty win by count put belt on crowd pops big time Vince McMahon on commentary stop's talking until the ring announcer calls the match Dusty wins the match but not the championship. Crowd gos from cheers to boos 😤 then Vince talks after letting the tv fans take in the whole emotion. Something else lost in pro wrestling the art of shutting up. As well as getting the people watching on TV get into the match making us give a shit about what is happening and why.
Just listening to Jake talk about wrestling makes me so happy.
