Every Elijah needs an Elisha to whom he can pass the mantle, and every Elisha needs a heart that refuses to retire the shelf life of his master. This allows him to continue serving the Lord alongside someone who has experienced both victories and failures. Insecurities can hinder the posture of being a student; submission is often resisted when correction is hard to accept. If instruction hasn’t shaped you, it leaves unrefined areas within you. These unpolished parts will grow with your anointing and can become the very weaknesses that undermine you later on. Don’t skip the process.
