    Hi Fans of Blue Murder "JellyRoll". I'm the girl in the video. yes it's true. I skidded in late to the video shoot in my brand new whilte corvette, dust flying off the dirt road. The production assistant said I couldn't park there so I threw it into reverse and saw a crew member in my rear view window dive into the bushes out of my way. As for John, What a great guitarist, vocalist, song writer and kisser ; ) John if you listening, How about a sequel? xoxo, Meg Register

      @@johnstrika9170 Whitesnake went on to be one of the biggest bands in the world because of John Sykes. John Sykes is the reason Whitesnake is even known today, because without him, using their work before the 87 album, they're an obscure blues rock band that no one knows about and David Coverdale goes down in history as the other lead singer from Deep Purple.
      They certainly wouldn't have done all the legacy tours they've done over the years.
      It's a shame too because Sykes is literally the complete package and was robbed of his due, but aside from that, the fans of the 87 record were robbed of seeing the band that recorded the music play it live.

    2) Saw Blue Murder (with King's X) opening for Billy Squier either just before or just after the album was released. Needless to say that both BM and KX blew Billy completely out of the water (they were who I went to see!). But, I'll never forget, and wish I could find a copy of it, that BM did a (semi) acoustic version of "Still Of The Night" with a slowed, blues/jazz feel that was flipping tremendous!

    I was wondering how many people know who John Sykes is. He actually co-wrote Whitesnake's most famous album, and then was fired by David Coverdale. The Whitesnake band that everybody saw in the 80's singing their most famous hits, aside from David Coverdale, was a cover band. John and the entire band were fired, and that's when John created this album.

      +Cmentman Z sykes wanted to replace David when DC was ill for the first recording of the album, and they were butting heads as who was the real leader of the band, which DC had started and nurtered for almost 10 years at that point. And DC himself wrote crying in the rain, and marsden co-wrote Here i go again with DC. I love John though, what a marvelous talent (singing and playing guitar, as well as a song-writer). Murray was according to himself not really fired, they just drifted apart, as he was in London and DC in the US ..

    • @madden7732
      @madden7732 Před 3 lety +3

      @sha broussard Im agreed with almost every thing you said. But both Sykes and DC acted in a very stupid way. When DC and Sykes met for the first time, Sykes refused the offer and said: 'Im not someone of being ordered around and I dont like to be told what to play'. So he went back with Thin Lizzy and got a call from DC telling him how much he wanted. DC should have never insisted on having Sykes on his band, knowing how independent Sykes is, but also Sykes acted like a dick with that statement. As for the 'Sykes made Whitesnake good', I think some of you guys miss the whole point. Its obvious Whitesnake made great stuff before Sykes, no one denies that, but as every other band and leader, DC wanted to be huge. Without Sykes that would have never been possible. The guitar tone, the guitar playing, backing vocals, the arrangements. Slip Of The Tongue just had one hit if im not wrong that not even got close to how big the 87 hits went. And as far as I know, Sykes was the one making all the arrangements along with Neil and Aynsley, Coverdale only wrote lyrics which are pretty shit tbh xD but great singer, undeniable.

      You loved her but you didn't treat her right. You were young and stupid, you cheated on her, and disrespected her. You loved her, but were too full of yourself to show her any of that love. She took your abuse, and put up with your bullshit again and again and again, and you thought she would always be there, she would never leave you, no matter what you did because she never had left you, no matter what you did. She loved you, and she never asked for much, she only wanted to feel loved by you, so she stayed and stayed and stayed, until you killed all her love, and she couldn't stay another minute. And then you loved her even more, and you would show it now and treat her right if she would just come back. But she didn't come back, and she's never coming back, she gave you a thousand chances and now they are all gone...you used them all up.
