How do squirrels survive the winter?

I am amazed at the dexterity of this beast, capable of climbing a tree in an instant. Its sharp claws on its flexible fingers help it to do so. The squirrel immediately grabs the bark of the tree with all its paws, sits down and jumps. In case of danger, it flies up to the tree top or to the nest with an arrow and moves in a spiral toward the nest. The fluffy tail serves as a balancer. Especially in long jumps from tree to tree. In addition, the tail is an excellent warming pad. In cold weather, the animal curls up into a ball and covers itself with its fur.

I thought this video was supposed to be how do squirrels survive harsh winters and not tell us what the squirrel is and what it looks like.

They visit my house. Walnuts "their favorite", Almonds, and fresh filtered water. The birds also love to visit my house, plenty of food for them also.
