Best live show I ever saw; Cake at Nissan Pavillion, VA. John has a phenominal stage presence (not to mention the great songs) and seeing them live is just nothing short of awsome.

These people are NOT cake fans, it is Pinkpop a summer festival in Holland, cake is not big overhere (sorry) and the people are just checking them out, there were bigger bands headlining that year.(on the big stage outside, and there WAS moshing) but i'm sure they "won" new fans after the gig, happy?
This crowd is a bunch of deadbeats in Rochester NY we shouted out Dude soooooooooo much louder it was a kick ass performance we almost thought there was going 2 b a second encore
ALL live shows by ALL bands sound worse than the studio cut. They're not in a sound chamber, They aren't able to take more than a 2-5 minute break between songs, leading to overall fatigue, and it's nearly impossible to match the studio performance lyrically as well. Sometimes they can confuse themselves, sometimes they just get bored of the same style.
I absolutely adore every element of this band.

I love Cake since day one, I found an old copy of Comfort Eagle a few days back and it renewed my love for them. Woo-hoo, happy stuff.

cake is the only band i know that sounds good on both studio and live cuz most bands are shit when live
