  • A short trip to Norway in 2018 for some Wingsuit flights, and even a 26 way local record jump in Kjerag! Loads of fun in a stunning country...

    how far do you fall vertically before you get enough lift to move forward? are you folks about 1:1 ratio? (oh, yeah, it's great stuff to watch when you're old and past it all. great stuff...)

      Hi, Thanks for the comment! It depends on altitude above sea level, and also suit type, and the persons skill level. The minimum for me is probably low 100m range for vertical, and then depends what the next phase of the flight is (steep or more flat terrain). There are a lot of variables to think about to try and make safe repeatable flights :)

    How many jumps before a wing suit BASE jump of the fjords?

    • @jonnolavis7488

      The right number varies for different people, but lot of skydiving wingsuits is a good plan first, then a solid start in BASE jumping. Then combine both with a wingsuit BASE progression.

    How do u climb up again? Do u trek or use a plane?

      Hi, for a BASE jump we almost always hike up. Sometimes there are gondolas that get us closer to the place to jump from, and sometimes when it's a special jump or a group event we will get helicopters to take us up to the exit point so we can do more jumps in a day or access places that are more difficult.

    How fast can you go in a wingsuit?

    • @jonnolavis7488
      @jonnolavis7488  Před rokem

      Over 300km/h with training and practice, normal flights are usually closer to 200-250km/h

    I don't think people should jump that close together.
