Good morning 🌻 Mr. Audiophile Barista. The Decware is my dream amp but why I am here is because of your nice pair of speakers. It's nice to know the Decware can drive them. I have a similarly built where the back is tapered unlike your nice set. I am using Capehart full range drivers with alnico tweeters. I don't know if the tweeters sound better than my Celestion tweeters. My good carpenter said try having the front tapered instead of the back. I used a John Week's tapered inside with egg-foam for the inside back. Thank you for sharing my far away audio friend 😊. Greetings 🌹 and love from my humble country, 😘 the Philippines.
Good morning 😀 Sounds like an interesting build you have there. - There is a Dutch company that makes a similar loudspeaker (as the Ocellia) that is tapered on the rear. - What amp are you using at the moment?
@@theaudiophilebarista2424 thank for your reply. I am using two single ended amps, an AMD 36-110 and an Eagle S100 both with EL84 output tubes and a 6CA4 rectifier tubes. The former is a 5w/chan while the other is a 10w/chan maximum.
@@theaudiophilebarista2424 I have to change some parts (caps and resistors). I have replaced the tubes and all are premium tubes. That is just one amp, the AMD. The Eagle is programmed for April ; I still need to save money. Since both amps are listen only amps, my technician friend removed the headphone jack connection and switch, the lineout RCA and kept the mode to stereo and reverse only. I am having so much fun listening 🎧 to phono via the ceramic cartridge. I read somewhere that old tube design can be a plug and play for ceramic cartridges.
Excellent choice! Sounded fantastic over my headphone rig with a pretty good desktop DAC. Even if you do buy another amp, this one would still be fun to play with from time to time. Changeout of the rectifier tube and EL84's and equivalents would be fun.

Mooie vid. lijken mij el84 buisjes, met ecc 83 stuurbuis? Vrij klassiek single ended ontwerp, waarbij de buis misschien triode geschakeld is met 2 watt output. Hi, good question. It is because of the way my system is setup (poweramp closer to the loudspeakers). - I was actually looking for a poweramp but I also had to try this amp when I ran into it. - The manual states that this amp can also be used as a poweramp, so that is what I bought it for.
