I discovered this song a few weeks ago and listened to it a lot- every time literally bursting into tears!!! I’m 52 years old and have struggled with body issues my entire life. I still struggle, but this song helps because it’s incredibly healing and empowering. ♥️🌻🙏💫✨

My maw maw same age as you she struggled with body issues she was around 300 pounds at 52 years old but she beleived in herself and she got the gastric sleeve surgery and since she beleived in herself she now weighs about 160-170.You got the girl I beleive in you!

I am 43 years old. I am not even close to acceptable by society's standards. This song, this video, this behind the scenes. All of it hits home so freaking hard. This needs to grow even bigger than it has and spread to all the people, young and old. If I had known back then, what I know now, I would have loved myself more, cared for myself more, and wouldn't have suffered from depression as much. I still have days where I hate myself but I'm learning to love myself and this has a part to play in it. Thank you for seeing us all.

Not just young girls, my dear. I am older than Victoria's Secret, and there was bullying and social discrimination back in the 50's and 60's. The brand only gave the eating disorders more awareness to the issue.

Your flash mop video did so much for my three-year-old son I can’t even express. Ever since he watched that video he has fallen in love with your song he wants to sing and listen to it everywhere. He’s constantly begging me to get him a guitar so we could sing Victoria’s Secret outside like the girl in the video. This song is not only just for young women and women of all ages but it has impacted my three-year-old son in a way that I can’t even thank you. My son is going to grow up understanding that not every women in this world is going to have big boobs in a skinny body and he’s going to learn to love and appreciate all body types instead of stereotyping one type of body and only going for that body type. I think you for your song for your anthem ever give you my son something to love something to sing something to be excited about.

to me as a upcoming senior now, it has become most noticeable that i’ve grown most insecure over my body more & more throughout my high school years. it’s so silly that society pushes and pulls so many people, trying to mold everyone’s mind that “if i’m not rich and beyond skinny, then i’m not good enough.” society is tearing up teens lives more & more. and it’s absurd that we all think we have to look a certain way to be “loved” or “accepted” in life. and everytime i start to feel insecure about myself now, i listen to this song & tell myself “i wouldn’t want to be a part of society anyway. if i have to be beyond skinny, or rich or whatever you wanna add to it, then i don’t want to be a part of a society like that.”
because i’m beautiful, we are ALL beautiful, and it’s the other people’s fault for not seeing it. People would always comment about how skinny I was, ask if I ever ate, or told me I looked like a starving kid from Africa. I always tried to gain weight, but was scared to gain too much because I knew people would have something to say about that too. This song sends such a powerful message and I'm grateful to you for writing it 🥰

When I listened to the lyrics of this song and how the singer said how much she struggled throughout her life about her body it made me cried. I came young to this country,I went to a private school and high school where all the kids were white kids or american hispanic who didnt speak Spanish. Spanish girls tend to have a curvy body. I remember as a young teenager I was always trying to eat salad,exercise and sometimes even buy those slim fast shakes behind my aunt's back. I also had a hard time raising my daughter. I remember feeling anger and sadness for her when she would come home upset or crying because kids bullied her about her weight or made mean remarks. I'm on my 40s and I seen how much young people go through at school. Alot of kids end up going to therapy because they get depression from all the stress and bulling. Things like this not only happen to kids at school but to adults at their jobs.There's always jealousy.
