My house needs a new roof which costs ÂŁ10k - the hermes cannot shelter me from the rain
I really value customer service when I go shopping, particularly at higher end shops. It will never cease to amaze me why some people are willing to prostrate themselves at the threshold of Hermes just to be considered a purchaser of one of their bags. Where is your dignity folks?
đ
Low self esteem
It has absolutte nothing to do with lov self esteem or dignity. Its about loving the brand . I live in s place where Nobody at all knows the brand. Nobody knows what Im wearing. But I love all of my items. Just for my own pleasure and how I spoil my self. Other pleople travel, others buy a car or a Watch or something Else. Why is like expensive things the same as Low self esteem? Thats just judgemental and people should stop judging each other - I would never judge people that chooses to travel. How people Spend their money are different and should not be anybodys business but themselves. @@katemiller7874
Well said, totally agreed đđ»đđ»đđ»
Refused to play this slave game ⊠not because of $ but the audacity they have to treat customers.
Exactly⊠after spending all the $ & most people doesnât even get the exact style, color or size they truly want ⊠totally ridiculous đ”âđ«đłđ„șđđ
Maybe best to choose from pre loved & get a vintage one ⊠at least you can know exactly how much you want to spend & able to choose the style, size & color of your desire choice.
Lmfaoooo if you gotta save that hard you shouldnât get it took me out đ€Ł
You are fabulous! So intelligent and we need more people like you in the world âŁâŁâŁâŁâŠâŠâŠ all of your points are so true, that you will never play the âgameââ=buying something , just to buy something, just to be âofferedâ a bag? âŠ.all of my clients sold their Hermes and now donate 5,000 a month or more to people in need đđŒâŠâŠI also have clients who have âcelebrityâ relatives,âŠ. none of them have to âbuyâ something to get a bag, they tell Hermes what they want and they get itđ€âŠâŠu rock đđ»
Appreciate this video! Have to agree 100% 2ith everything you said!
Itâs only like that in the US you can buy an actual Hermes Birkin or Kelly in Paris with no problems
Ummm itâs not easy at all to get it in Paris now
I think HermĂšs U.S.P is sustainability, owning goods for life and passing them down and quality. And I really admire that about the brand. You can observe other luxury brands launching trendy bags ( prada, Jaquemus, bottega, gucci) and they are easy to get as long as you have the money. But the following year when the Jaquemus mini bag and the Bottega casette with the thick gold chain are out of fashion they end up in being sold on and perhaps even thrown away after a few years. It's a bit like expensive fast fashion. Whereas if you spend 10k on a birkin, you know was hand made by a highly trained crafts person, employed in fabourable conditions, using the best quality materials and techniques you will keep that bag forever. I think HermĂšs manufacture so few bags and only offer them to long term customers, because they want their customers to be people who value sustainability and good quality.
Great topic!
Plus all this drama is coming from one sided stories - customers who want to get a birkin / Kelly quickly and cheaply from the store. On the other end, SAs are bombarded by rude customers demanding a Birkin or Kelly immediately while they have long term customers who have been waiting for months. Are they really supposed to sell them to whoever walks in? Also there are literally hundreds of other products Hermes is happily willing to sell you with great service with no fuss. Why isnât anyone complaining about not getting a silk scarf (beautiful signature products from Hermesâ) or garden party (Hermesâ tote bag) for instance. Itâs a case of wanting to get an exclusive item while not having the patience to wait for it. If demand outweighs supply, somethingâs gotta give!
Manipulative and abusive relationships can come in all shapes, and sometimes in the form of "luxury brands" smh
You are so right the Hermes game is insane!!! I do think their wealthier, well-known (i.e. celebrities, political figures, corporate CEOS) customers can get a Birkin on the spot without any of the games. However, I believe the 10k a month spend is a game being played to the thirsty, status-hungry customers. Hermes wants them to prove their loyalty to the brand and that they can spend 10k a month in Hermes goods.
Btw.....I love your lipstick. What color and brand is it? Thanks.
Absolutely agree with you! Itâs charlotte tilbury Iâll have to check the shade when Iâm home I will link it later âŁïž
@ Thank you sweetie! It's the perfect shade for spring (which I hope gets here soon).
Great video đđ
So i will not mention which hermes store inthe world but the prespend has an expiry. 2 years. Say for example 2:1, you need to make that happen within 2 consecutive years.
Itâs addictive! Period
lol. Yeah!
I think itâs that these bags are rare - they take a long time to make - so they want to offer them to their loyal patrons. Loyalty is defined by spending in various categories and over a period of time. If they offered them to everyone off the street with no history, there wouldnât be enough for their loyal customers. Especially lately since social media has driven interest in them through the roof. I also think Iâm the beginning they are trying to gauge who will be a long time customer vs those that are there to just buy the bag - or worse is a reseller just looking to make a quick buck. Donât dress any other than you normally would. Be yourself. And if you start to buy the brand the bag will come organically. Though youâre right it may not be the color you initially asked for. Great video by the way. Really thoughtful.
I did not stress with hermĂšs at all. Only bought what i always liked. Waited only 1 year without paying a premium. Might got very lucky, but happy about not stressing in Paris. My attitude visiting the store has been relaxed, happy and humble. Im always polite, i never asked for qouata bag, and kind of had the attitude if i really want i could buy these bags anytime i want. Think the last point there, kind of shined through with showing stuff the store could not get for me, asking for history prices, not asking for prices in a stingy matter, sometimes buying stuff without looking at prices at all. ..so...i donno... maybe two can play that game.
Hmm interesting đ€ thanks for sharing
Iâm with you! I absolutely never ever got a bad treatment in HermĂšs! I also never acted desperate because I never been desperate for a bag! Iâve got many offers by just buying what I love there. Social medias make us think that we will always be treated badly, that you have to play a hard game. Maybe the real lovers of the brand have a totally different experience, actually itâs what I think now. Or maybe Iâm older too, so I donât need or feel I have to prove anything and they see it right away. Who knows, but I will suggest to people to just go in HermĂšs if they like the brand because your experience can be very pleasant, itâs not all horror stories!
I was listening to super dacob, he mentioned that Hermés might collect data about where people live, they often ask what they work with ( this is a trick question because it reveals perhaps private information your not ready to share) . My point is that living in an expensive area might increase the chance of getting a bag offer.
@@carrino15 HermĂšs is known to prefer long term clients so living in the area where the boutique is helps tremendously for sure. Some boutiques around the world wonât even sell a bag to a tourist. That being said, my home boutique gets a lot of tourists, the whole mall does. In all the luxury boutiques around, they ask if you are local and I can tell they love when you say yes. Itâs just logic, if they give you a good service, they know you are close by and youâll come back , while a tourist might never be seen again. But HermĂšs really push a relationship, thatâs for sure, long term clients is a priority for them.
I find it crazy sometimes this types of videos. In my Hermes store the people are super nice with me, sometimes I just come by to say hi just because the SAs are at the end of the day people and they enjoy more having a customer they can share more about their life that a boring entitled customer. I have gotten 2 Birkins 25 (noir GHW and gold PHW) with almost no history (2 scarfs for the 1st one and a scarf and a belt for the 2nd one) just by coming by and really connecting with them like friends.
I feel the SAs will more likely sell you a bag if you are interested in the brand and in them, rather than just being an entitled person spending a LOT of money and expecting a bag back. I have heard a lot of RUDE customer coming by and demanding a bag, and the SAs are always just laughing of how so entitled some people are.
interesting, thanks for sharing đ
Maybe youâre not in the US. Here, you have to spend to get a quota bag and ofc you would already spend if you like the HermĂšs brand.
It is a great investment it goes up in value thatâs really the hype
NOT gonna try, NOT gonna play their games....If they don't want to sell to a person who has the cash and won't hire enough people to boost up availability, to hell with them. There are plenty of very attractive, & well made great leather handbags being sold by companies happy to get your business....These are the people I enjoy helping be productive and successful.
Right!
The Hermes game is heavily exaggerated online. Hermes staff are very high caliber and nice. My city is a very competitive store and theyâre still nice. They may be aloof to new customers initially because there are literally tons of resellers or one time customers trying to game the system and resell the bag. The cost price of the birkin is about 15k but it can be sold immediately for 30k. What Hermes is looking for are customers who enjoy their products as well as their bags. Their bags are handmade by artisans, and they canât meet the demand. For those customers who enjoy Hermes products like me, itâs actually a real joy to shop! I get things I like and also a bag if I want to. For those who dislike Hermes product, they are free to go on the preloved market. In reality most customers are happily shopping at Hermesâ or they take their business elsewhere. All this drama is just talked about online ~ also! Chanel has started this as well where the prioritize their VIP customers (high spending) for sought after bags and SLGs - again because of the resellers! Itâs just a game of supply and demand at the end of the day â€ïž
Thatâs why the CZcams girlies like myself and other women went preloved much accessible & easier that route
Hi, you ask what we Think about Hermes and their âgameâ. First of all, I got the exact bag I whished for. I mean exact! Everything was as I whished for. And second, I got after 7 month from entering the store for the first time in my life. Yes ive spent Money on other items, but thats because at really Love Hermes! And I only buy what I truly love. Its not really that complicated and people should stop being so upset about how Hermes choose to run their business. Its how they decide to do it. And if people dont like show it works, then dont go there. And stop demanding a bag if you dont like what comes a Long with it. Then the bags are just not for you. Its acctually very simple.
I wonât play the game to be offered a Birkin or a Kelly. Thatâs just me. I have bought a scarf and a notebook from the store and the staff were really nice, but I canât imagine buying thousands of dollars worth of stuff I donât want just for the possibility of being offered a bag. I do have two Hermes bags, both preloved and vintage and I am so glad I went the preloved route instead. I got them both under retail and they are exactly what I wanted. Itâs true that the markup on the small bags is outrageous but if you like the larger ones you can find them for very reasonable prices, especially if they are vintage.
I donât dress no kind of a way I be wearing my bonnet đ€Ł cause my money gone spend the same just like someone whoâs business casual
IT just so funny not worth the stress
đ đ
I actually met lovely people at Hermes - I am a die hard H lover but I am not into the Birkin and I rarely buy in the store. I quite like the pre-loved market because the game is nonsense to me. I don't care for the boutique experience enough to insist on buying this way - it is almost like validation or something (I am worthy etc) if you keep going and don't really like the items you buy or worse, buy a B or K you don't like or won't use. I don't think it is about ultra-rich - they want to keep supply low to keep demand and the illusion of luxury and special items high - so how do you choose who gets one? lottery, luck, first come first serve - but then also just really good customers. This is turned a bit perverse - instead of selling to those that buy a lot, it is has become buy a lot to get sold one.
....who is spending $10,000 a month?? If they are, they're doing it wrong (or have deep pockets and really like shopping at Hermes đ ). The "game" is establishing a purchase history with the brand to "prove" that you're loyal to that particular store - and not a reseller trying to flip the bag for profit. It usually requires spending on non-leather items that total up to at least the RETAIL PRICE of a Birkin or Kelly. (this is key: the retail price is significantly less than what these uninformed media outlets are reporting. Auction and reseller sites always list these bags for 2x-3x more). So, if one of those bags is $11,000-$12,000, the store would like to see the customer spend at least that amount, before purchasing that particular bag. Sometime you get lucky and spend less; other times, it might be more (like 2 or 3 times... so $22,000-$36,000).
But no, it doesn't mean someone has to spend $5000-$10,000 per month - only the wealthy VIPs (or someone with a serious shopping addiction) do that.
I was just using a random number as an example. The point was that you need to spend a certain amount before being offered a bag rather thatâs $10,000 in total or a larger amount. But yes I agree with what you said! đ
Iâll just find a good dupe ( not counterfeit , I just mean a similar style). Iâve heard and read very wealthy people buy dupes themselves as they are smart with their money! Iâll never step foot into a Hermes store. I buy online from them. Thatâs it. These people are human and get dressed like you and I do. Lifeâs too short for the snooty game.
Why not just get a used one. Not my cup of tea. The only thing I have from Hermes is a book mark. I love it. Will never own a bag. I still love Louis Vuitton and Goyard
Wooow.

Rich people don't waste their time
The rich don't have to play the game if they are rich enough they simply go and get what they want.

His #amzlv tote is beautifully colored, very sturdy and the perfect size. Not too small, not too big. I look forward to joining my rotation.
So stupid, the marketing its working for them for sure đ
This is all about control. No thanks. Zero interest.
If you play the "Hermes Game" you are a simpleton. Also, leaving the gym and going into a mall or a fashion house is sooo typical of an American.
Im glad I donât like this bag
Hermes is not for the faint of heart but definitely don't watch videos like this full of misinformation/exaggerations up the wahzooo and judgement.... how many Hermes collectors do you actually know? My guess... none.
@ *lvguci* Every time I see this bag I can't help but stop here.
