Boat Catches Fire at the Boat Ramp ! (Chit Show)

- Black Point Marina is Slowing down but today we capture a moment like never before ! A boat came in hauling ass on fire and quickly docked. One of the people on board was smoking a cigarette which may have started the fire. It seems there may be a leaking fuel tank that was dripping into the bilge. Recently I used Welding World in Miami to make a new fuel tank for me on my bigger boat to avoid this same issue. Thankfully no one was hurt seriously but hopefully this reinforces the need for having a working fire extinguisher on board.

That guy managed to dodge two manatees, Fred and dock 5, all while coming in hot.
Brovo to the community for stepping in. Gives us hope for humanity.
Fred was hoping for BBQ
I'm glad to see the response from the other boaters humanity is not lost.
Yeah they don't want there's to go up you ever seen how fast it can spread from one to another
Probably did as it is a regulation, but those fire extinguishers don't last very long.
Exactly what II was going to say!
No one of the idiots called the FD!!
Aww ..they was just curious. Men gotta come watch when the shit is going down.
I’m in shock that not even one person had a fire extinguisher on board…..
I was thinking the same. Arent they required on all boats?
im sure they did but a 5gal bucket in hand prob works faster than going to get the extinguisher also if you watch closely there is a guy with a small white extinguisher
@@FishKisser875 Yes !
Agreed standard safety equipment
Also depends where you store it might have been in same area as the fire nice boat was that a yellow fin older one ?
He docked that thing like a boss.I love good people that don't ask and just help..Hope you staying Blessed Alfred 🙌

A+ for docking!
yeah. a lot of boaters there should have their boats set on fire so they can learn to dock correctly
Lol, How true!
Those chumps were Democrats. I am surprised they didnt abandon ship or scuttle it on the run in!😆😅🤣
Dude on fire rolled in like a boss! No pole of faith, nobody jumping, no tangled lines, no "Wait for it....." Props to that Captain. Smooth as silk.
There wasn't ANY lines !
Gives a whole new meaning of coming in hot...wow
Good to see all the people that just dropped what they were doing to help the guy out.
It was really good to see everyone that came to help him with a bucket 🙏🏻
He docked. Flawlessly. At high speed. While on fire. Boating now has a god.
Bro caught in 4k. Thats why we have fire extinguishers on boats at all times
I guess the coast guard will be contact that guy soon!
I've got 3 fire extinguishers on my boat ( in the cuddy, stern and near the passenger's side seat ) cause you'll never know when something like this will happen. Gotta be prepared for anything at all times, especially if you're offshore fishing cause help is far away. 😬 Luckily for these guys they came out okay, aside from the damage to the boat, and let's hope they're better prepared in the future.
@@440tomcat electrical fires are also not good to use water because electricity conducts water.
If it was an electrical fire it’s always going to start up again unless you eliminate the power source.
Nice example of Community helping out. The South Florida Fire Dept. was in full swing with those buckets👍
Glad everyone is OK but he docked that thing like a boss.
Yeah he did!
Love the teamwork. They all just came running to help out. That’s what’s up.
Thank you for being a good broadcaster and letting the situation happen without any feed back. Love your channel
I agree. It was nice to NOT hear "brother" over and over.
Never know when you need a fire extinguisher, but when you need 1 they are life savers. I have an extinguisher in every vehicle I own, even have a tiny 1 for my motorbike.
To all those asking why no fire extinguisher. My guess is he used the one on the boat way before arriving at the dock. I had an electrical fire from shorted wires on my shrimp boat many years ago and the fire extinguisher only puts those out temporarily until you stop the current and that's not easy when you can't see or breath because of the smoke. I'm surprised that the fire dept. didn't get called though.
Yes, but there should have been plenty more on the other boats around..
There's never a dull moment at that boat ramp. These guys might get angry at one another during launch and boat retrieve
but if there's an emergency those same guys will help one another
Wait for it..Alfred, speechless?! OMG!
i'm guessing he didnt film it.
Hey Alfred, first, love your intro. Second, this is a reminder to carry not ONE, but TWO FIRE EXTINGUISHERS on board. Third, great job of the captains docking skills. Fourth, amazing help from the people that got involved.
It's a dangerous world we're living in, I'm seriously considering getting a bucket.
A captain would have an extinguisher on the boat. It's in the class when you go to take for your captains license.

I like how his buddy just grabs his bag and jumps off….doesn’t lift a finger too help🤣
Glad no one got hurt. Great to see everyone concerned, and willing to help. Really enjoy your show, hope you make your millions of viewers. Good job‼️
Thus is why Marine Patrol does courtesy checks to keep boaters safe .thank God no one was hurt bad love you Alfred your show rocks watch you from Utah
He handled that like a pro good job captain way to keep your cool and save your boat
Love how the dude in the van, never hesitated launching his boat 😂😂
Great video, Alfred. It reminds me that some boaters like boating solo, and some prefer to load up a big crew of family and friends. Either way, when you are a boater, you BELONG!! Proud of all those captains at Black Point Marina 👍🏻
I'm not proud because not a single one had a fire extinguisher. A real captain would've had one or two. So irresponsible of them all. I bet they went to the store and purchased one after that..lol.
At one point I carried two on my small flats boat after seeing a similiar incident. A must have!!
@@ashleysouthernsass And they are cheap! a 4.5kg (which will put out a sizable fire) is like 50 bucks.m Those little 2 pounders a couple of guys had are way too small for anything but a fat fire in a frypan at home.
Bad ass docking right there! Props to dude grabbing buckets to help instantly!
Wow, that captain brought the boat in so fast and so well. What great maneuvering-really kept his head.
That was the hottest fishing trip that captain ever experienced...FUEGO...FUEGO...FUEGO!!!
Still taking pride in their boat!! Wipe it down and wife won't notice! We will get it fixed and be back in the water in a minute. Glad to see no one was injured .
That sucks man…sorry for any loss, I feel your pain.
Interesting , no one appeared to have a fire extinguisher. Saw the county parks truck go by and no-one flagged them down to call the fire department and there is a Miami-Dade Marine patrol office right at the marina and no one called. Nice to see all the support from fellow boaters. Also nice you weren't screaming and commentating you just let it play out, which was great. One of your better videos, unfortunately at a boaters expense and misfortune.
That skipper handled it like a CHAMP!
Got to love the 70's themed guy that will not put down his water bottle. lol
The insurance industry is warming up that checkbook for you Alfred😉👍
The way everyone pitched in, good job fellas
Gives a whole new meaning to coming in hot!!! Captain to the hell of a job talking that boat better than most when they ain't on fire
I'll be up at 4 a.m. my time to watch Chit Show 💝
Best docking I have ever seen on this channel
Oh wow!
That was some good Chit bro! 🐊
Great job Alfred 👍
Amazing the way everyone starts helping
Loving the commercial. Good job, Alfred.
We been trying to call you about your extended boat insurance coverage 😜
As a licensed Master Captain who teaches boater safety courses, that was my first thought. Where in the heck are the fire extinguishers??
Unbelievable.
He may have used it at sea when it started. And yes I am a Master as well up to 80 feet in Melbourne Australia
Where? They're prolly' sitting on the deck expelled. There is no indication that he did not have extinguishers.
Dude got fat stacks for that boat but not enough for a fire extinguisher? Welp that is a sure fire citing from the Marine Police.
Probably used up their fire extinguisher on the way in to the dock.
Let's only hope he used it before he got to the dock. If not the police should write him a ticket on the spot!
@@ScarabChris what about all those boaters that came to help.
4 pack of extinguishers. Amazon about 90 bucks.
Action packed video !!
Buen trabajo k bueno k lograron contener el fuego 🔥 x lo menos salvo su bote bendiciones
Your content is endlessly entertaining.
Now that coming in hot !!!!! Hope all turns out well
😂
Hi Alfred, nice catch. Too bad you couldn’t have interviewed the boat owner after the fire so we could have found out how the fire started and when it started. Great video=being there at the right time. Nice going.
I’m glad he pulls up next to another boat !!! If mines burning im getting yours too !!
Dude docked up like a pro
I love the new intro,awesome
How to dock a boat like a BOSS! Damn that was slick!
Fire is a great motivator for docking skillz.
🔥 on a boat, nothing scarier! Hope it did not re-ignite on his way home!
Thank God the MIAMI Cuban fire brigade was there to put out the fire with all them buckets 🪣 🔥
glad to see that not one person had a fire extinguisher on board
Yep let’s immediately attach the thing that keeps catching fire onto the truck lol
I guess using the fire extinguisher was a challenge to their manhood?
Why did nobody grab a damn fire extinguisher?
The Vikings didn't carry fire extinguishers on any of their boats!
THE MONEY SHOT. finally all success to you. this type of shot is what all content creators dream about. viral content
damn i thought the real alfred was messaging me this sucks
Glad you were not filming Table Rock Lake Saturday, when I launched without the transom plug in. Ski locker filled up and I got it back on the trailer before disaster.
What happened???
Did you leave the plug at home?
thumbs up to the people that jumped in to help, wow.
Al try to locate this guy and make a video with him, explaining what actually took place. He was coming in hot and on fire. I think it would be a good educational video to help others. By the way thanks for coming down here to Cape Coral after Ian and offering what ever you could help with. Next time you come I will take to a couple spot out in the Gulf. Really good fishing.
Sucky situation! Poor guy and luckily looks to have come out okay. Fire extinguisher for the win!
You're supposed to always have a fire extinguisher on your boat in Florida it's the law.
Maybe they already used it up. Were you on the boat with them on the ride in? I didn't think so. Quit being a Captain know-it-all...
@@daffyduck9901 Yeah true. I really wasn't thinking about that either.
@@daffyduck9901 Mister Captain know it all 🤣 Did I say they did not have a fire extinguisher? All I said was it's the law in Florida you must have a fire extinguisher on your boat.
@@twinbee13monsterhunter that's what you were insinuating don't try to back out of it now. Captain double talk.
He docked it perfectly very impressive!
May want to call the fire department next time as well. They generate a report which aids in filing an insurance claim
There is hope for humanity. Well done, captains and crew!
Jeez this guy gets a 10 on the dismount and docking under extreme pressure. Great people stepping up and not pulling out phones to record
An electrical fire can do the same thing, and you need to have a good battery disconnect switch, as water and dry chem won't kill the fire until the circuit to the batteries is disconnected. Glad to see people care about each other there!!!
GOOD TEAMWORK!
Wow...they were super lucky!!!
Chit show lives up to the hype
Thank God that they were ok, but dang the dude in the white shirt at the beginning of the video on the boat smoking a cigarette, thats funny!!!
Well, its 2:30am right now in AZ and we have 1/2' snow.I gotta win so I can get back to Florida, sheesh.
Didn’t kill the batteries, didn’t have any type of extinguisher, bad on the owner.
Man, you can tell when Alfred isn't filming..it's actually a good video.*ducks*
fire extinguisher is a very good investment to have... at home, in the car and on the boat!!
Looks like an electrical fire. Something shorted out and they didn't have proper fuses. If it were a fuel fire I don't think they would have been able to put it out with water. When he jumped back in the boat and opened the other door I hope it was to shut the battery switches off. May explain why the bilge pumps didn't start sucking the water out. Just my opinion.
What was burning to cause those tall flames? Not a battery or wiring.
@@robertp7209 Fiberglass is also called FRP which is an acronym for fiberglass reinforced plastic. The plastic part is the cured polyester resin and it burns hot.
-don’t throw water on a fire fueled by gas
-Tie as many slack line as you can to dock away from any other boats
-confirm Fire is completely out with proper extinguishers
-then maybe haul out with truck and trailer
After filling the hull and lockers with water, spreading the fuel and possibly fire their lucky not to have loss the truck too
Water on a gas fire. Excellent work skipper. Maybe hit Costco after the Coast Guard fines.
Wondering where the boat's fire extinguisher was........guess the owner had a pretty good bucket list. Glad to see others brought some extinguishers over to try to help the guy out.
Good morning Alfred from Daytona Beach ❤
There is no way Alfred is filming this. He'd be having kittens right now Look at a! Look at a! Look at a! look at a!!! LOL 🤣
I think that Alfred may be subcontracting out some of his filming.
I was thinking the same thing. I was waiting for Alfred to start talking and going ape turds but never a word. This is why you always be courteous. Karma is real in my mind. I had a motor issue once and had asked another boater for some help and he was a total deek about it and didn’t help. (Not in area with reliable or accessible seatow/towboat). If I saw him in distress in the future I wouldn’t even wet a rope or pee on him if he was on fire. The guy that did help me was fishing with his kids and didn’t get anything. I had our limit of Stripers and for his helping me, I gave him cash to pay for a tank of gas, gave him my striped bass and gave him my fishing numbers and bait tips so he and his kids could crush them like my son and I were. I explained the lesson to my young son and taught him that you should always help people and show appreciation when someone helps you. I still wouldn’t wet a life ring on the other guy though. Sometimes it is hard to not hold a grudge despite the immaturity of it.
Coming in HOT! 🔥
Brings new meaning to "coming in hot." That could've ended much, much worse.
Bucket dude had incredible accuracy.
Great people that ran in to help the best they could! Yet so many just standing around doing absolutely nothing but standing in the way! Gotta love the Clown in the long sleeve dark blue shirt, with hands behind his back just being in the way!
Did they ever find out the cause of the fire? Also great job to everyone who stepped up to help and mad emergency speed docking skills !
Should have called the fire department as soon as he realized he had fire, they would have been waiting or gotten there soon after docking - these guys were extremely lucky to get it out with just buckets of water, glad they save they saved her!
He sure docked fast!!
Waiting for it 😂😂
Going on 5:00 a.m. here in Glendale Arizona... Gotta get some sleep.... Have a good day Alfred... Dwight. Good Seamaritan Rescue 🛟 since 1958... Hey Gonzalez, don't worry about calling the Fire department, I got THIS!!!...
I am glad that the boater had help and they put the fire out. But every boat is supposed to have a fire extinguisher on the boat. I had a battery to catch on fire in my boat before I know the feeling of panicking and trying to put it out has quickly has you can
Sir Alfred I am shocked, even on my old Sylvan 17’ I had two fire extinguishers. They check boats here all the time.
Alfred are in vacation otra vez no way i need a job like yours
Im am surprised that the fire was controlled. Generally fiberglass is very hard to extinguish. Another thing is they are very lucky the tide was extra high or they would not have been able to scoop bucket fulls like they did. Ive been boating and fishing offshore my entire life. My 2 biggest fears were running over a log or roof after a hurricane and catching on fire. I don't care how big, new, fancy, or expensive a boat may be, any boat can catch on fire and you better pray someone is close by and they care enough to come to your aid. Always remember to not let your life raft burn should your boat blaze!!!!
Apart from a Fire Extinquisher or two, they should have a bucket on board as well. The other thing they should have is a battery Isolator switch which should be the first action before trying to put out the fire.
What a Chit Show!!
So Linda III? No No No! This time let’s go with “Smoke Show”!
