@@trentoninnewjersey it was the Saturday. We were directly across from a private box with the group ABBA in.
I saw them a few weeks later in Manchester for their last ever British concert with Freddie. I was right at the front directly in front of Freddie. He took a drink of water and threw the rest right over me. What a memory and what a superb human being.
@@tonyjedioftheforest1364 that’s so cool! Glad you enjoyed those shows! I unfortunately wasn’t born until over a decade after Freddie’s passing, but Queen is my favorite band, and I always wish I was alive to see that rock legend at some point
@@trentoninnewjersey they were absolutely incredible. I got to see them a few times and later with Paul Rogers. I missed out this tour as one of my mates that I was going with gave my ticket to a taxi driver. What a ar*e hole. I have got my own back though as I have organised a trip to see ABBA in London and I won’t let him come. The only other band that came anywhere near as good live as Queen was the Rolling Stones.

I much prefer the visual design of the old Wembley, perhaps because I associate it with Queen '86 and Live Aid. But I did hear that the acoustics changed after the redesign and that the old design was better from that perspective.

Testimonial: 1993: language stay => Ealing with my Queen t-shirt, two elderly sisters with jelly every night saying "it's good for you". 2008, at the Queen+PR concert in Paris: the "same" 2 sisters sitting in front of me. 2022 "Stereoscopic I Good For You". I have come to the conclusion that everything comes from Queen. 🤪
