- Ahead of our duo livestream concert (Nov 5, 3pm NYC-time, $5 tickets at dantepfer.com/tix), the great Christian McBride and I played Donna Lee at soundcheck to test our latency, and even though Christian lives about 25 miles away from me, it felt like we were in the same room.

Playing with Christian McBride must be some kind of thrill, great job
Very much so
Sounds good even on iPad speakers. Can’t wait to see the show!
Looking forward to seeing you there, George :-)
Great version of Donna lee .great time and technique and musicality ! Bravo Dan Tepfer and the one and only Christian Mcbride .i will love to play like that
wow this is really amazing
thank you !!
That was simply beautiful. ❤
Yes!!! Thank you!!! 1Nation4Life
what buffer size did you guys use? and did you use jacktrip with a server in hub mode or did you directly connect to each other?
really love the performance, im listening to this a lot
I like to use 32-sample buffers. But that's not the important setting. The most important setting by far for Jacktrip is your value for -q. I always connect directly to the people I'm playing with; would seem crazy to add another step along the way. Thanks!
McBride is a bad dude
How did y’all do this ?!?!?!
I wrote a bit about the process here: dantepfer.com/blog/?p=1005
Can I ask you something? Did the sound in your monitor headphone is exactly like this? Or was there some kind of compromise?
In this case, our connection was so good (fiber at both ends) that the sound in our monitors was virtually exactly this; but in other situations, with less good connections, the sound in the monitors has many more artifacts
@@DanTepferMusic thanks for the reply. What do you mean by the "artifacts". Was it delays?
How'd you get the latency down so low? This is awesome!!
