    I'm really enjoying your Vancouver Island videos. We're moving to Nanaimo this fall and absolutely can't wait to explore some of these areas you've shown here.

    What a beautiful area. I have to add this to my stops. Especially that waterfront area.

    That mini waterfall at the end was so cool looking! ❤

    Yum! The bars look so good, even though I don’t like coconut.
    “It’s spooky in here “😂😂😅

    You can get Nanaimo bars straight across the country, but I'm sure locals will say they're not as good!

    As a British Columbian, my opinion is that a thin layer of chocolate on a Nanaimo bar is the best.

      Oh interesting! So would you have picked the second one?

      @@OurFulltimeAdventure Yes. I think that’s the more traditional way to make a Nanaimo bar, nothing wrong with switching it up though. 2-3mm layer of chocolate and then equal thickness layers of custard and nut base.

      That makes sense! Can’t go wrong with either one yum!

    One thing about Vancouver island is that it has the highest concentration of Cougars per sq mile then any other place in North America

      Our good friend lives on the Island and was telling us that. Thankfully the only time we have seen a Cougar on trail was in Salt Lake City, Utah of all places. Have you seen on in person?

      @@OurFulltimeAdventure My old manager has been hunting since he was a kid, so probably around 30 years. Never seen a cougar in the wild, but he said they've probably seen him.

      @@fullmetalscotsman1306 I have heard that a lot! Been here for forty years and never seen on! They are around our village, just outside Victoria all the time!

    You seem to have missed Cathedral Grove, or did you know that it is better to stop there on the way back?

    • @OurFulltimeAdventure
      @OurFulltimeAdventure  Před 2 dny +1

      We went to stop there on the way back and there was a fire that made us go around it unfortunately

      @@OurFulltimeAdventure Yes I see that you explained that later on. You make some great videos. I have almost forgiven you for drinking tea at the White Heather Tea Room with your little finger out to indicate that you were American and then leaving your hat on to confirm it! 😆😁😁

    Why do you do all these hikes without your dogs?

    • @OurFulltimeAdventure
      @OurFulltimeAdventure  Před rokem

      It just depends on the hikes, we bring them when it makes sense :) most of these hikes were pretty short so it made sense to leave them at home. They definitely love hiking and get their fair share!
