There’s a lot to be desired in Friday but I’ve always embraced it as a joke you’re meant to laugh along with not something to laugh at. In terms of her vocal talent I’m sure it’s improved but let’s be honest Friday probably didn’t show us everything she had in her at the time.
Listening to this cover, I actually think the lyrics brings meaning to the song. What a plot twist. I was so distracted by Miley's twerking addiction that I didn't realise how beautiful the song could've been.

Well they changed some the lyrics about drugs and all of that in this, I prefer this version better though

***** Friday wasn't a school project you moron. It was written by Patrice Wilson. The same guy that rights every crap sing on CZcams. He offered Rebecca a record deal if she sang his songs. Little did she realise the lyrics etc were terrible.

I can't believe people are still being rude to her because of "Friday." And to the people that keep saying "this is autotuned," do you think the people you hear on the radio AREN'T? A huge percentage of singers are autotuned, that doesn't mean they aren't talented. Rebecca's voice has developped and matured beautifully, and she has an amazing voice now that she's older.

I never liked her, because when I was younger I didn't really like female singers much. It takes a lot for me to like a female singer and to respect them.. even with male singers.. But this is also coming from someone who grew up listening to only Rock and metal... Anyways... Her voice is amazing. I think I have a new found respect and like for her.
I was the same way growing up, only ever listened to rock and metal with the majority having male leads. First two groups I ever listened to with female leads were Stevie Nicks and Heart, both have wonderful leads. Truly funny how much hate she got on her first song, which she was 13 in, and now she actually produces better music then Miley Cyrus and doesnt have even an 8th of the amount of monetary support Miley did. Took alot of guts to upload her first song, but even more to produce more. Its Rebecca teens should look up to around these times, not Miley and her bullshit.

Magari Midzuki no thats wrong. you have good and bad autotune. almost every artist nowdays use autotune. if someone does it right you will not hear the autotune as echoes, but clear and perfectly matched tones. just like this one. just listen, and you will hear it. she, as most artists you hear on radio have terrible vocals.

Face it, she learnt how to sing. She definitely has an above average voice now. Theres a bunch of young singers who she's better than. If you're hating this then you're just biased & really don't have any knowledge regarding music or singing. Do you guys understand the difference between reverb and auto-tune? Because if you don't, I highly suggest googling it. This is just a little bit of reverb to make the song sound smoother. So stop hating on Rebecca just because you think that she's "cheating" when she sings.

She's actually a great singer, and if she can just avoid making songs like Friday and Saturday, and avoid most of the mainstream pop garbage that are just about "going to the club" and "partying", she could be successful.

She didn't actually write the Friday song or auto tune it. And she made the Saturday video for entertainment and to show she could joke about the Friday video.
