the way it transitions into the chorus is the most beautiful part of this song. Radiohead is one of the most talented and creative bands I've ever listened to in my life.
That part kinda reminds me of Paranoid Android. Both songs are awesome, but this one is more hypnotic and sadder.

Because Thomas’s lyricism is so good it’s always up to interpretation so this could very well be a breakup song
That second verse is pure beauty
By far my most favorite radiohead song
The second half of the album feels like walking thru the woods and meeting woodland critters just like in the There There music video

There's definitely a right and wrong way to pull off the breakfast stream of consciousness, the right way being, "Get up, get the gunge, get the eggs, get the flan in the face," and the wrong way being, "Gotta have my bowl gotta have cereal."

It's an arpeggio.
It's a simple arpeggio which is very basic by Radiohead's usual standards. What makes the song very Radiohead is the way they subvert that sweet lullaby beginning into a stream of consciousness about menace, fear and dread.
