    Another good video. I always thought reasynth was useless but it totally makes sense that when you apply the reaper modularity and creativity to it, it can sound great. Another good video, thanks Kenny!

    so many people dissed the synth. you've just shone a light on how reaper's modularity works.
    Awesome tutorial and probably something most people should consider as it will teach them what serum or vytal are doing.

    Kenny, your tutorial on ReaSynth was absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for putting it together. I can't wait to dive in and start experimenting with ReaSynth!

    Literally everything I had been wondering about for using built in Reaper tools to avoid hunting down VSTs to bloat my system with. Great, straightforward explanations with useful demonstrations of changes over time. Subscribed. Thank you!

    Wow, what a great tutorial. All while using the stock capabilities of Reaper that we so often overlook. You make it happen! Thank you for your continued inspiration.

    Hmm, a little like a modular synth. Another thing you could do is add a transient to the front of the sound using ReaSamplOmatic5000 and you have the raw materials for a D-50 or ESQ-1 synth. EDIT: I just discovered the JS: Complex X Filter Synth - it can mangle oscillator sounds in magnificent ways, including oscillator sync simulations!

      @@REAPERMania This is actually a stand-alone mono synth. I don't think it comes with REAPER by default. It must have come with Repack.

    Kenny,
    Thank you for deepening my understanding of oscillators using ReaSynth. The lead sound I was able to make from following this video sits nicely and leads like an expensive Icarus synth I spent some $$$ on.🙂

    As Little Feat almost said:
    "To meet the doctor of REAPER, he's got his very own thing
    Two degrees in be-bop, a PHD in swing
    He's the master of REAPER he's a REAPER king
    If you like your DAW with a boogie beat he's the man to meet (he's the man to meet)
    If you like the sound of shufflin' pre-set feet Kenny can't be beat
    (I say he can't be beat)
    If you...
    If you wanna
    If you want your recording to feel real nice, just ask the Rock and Roll REAPER doctor Kenny's advice..."
    I may not be a genius, but I when I click on a Reaper Mania tutorial with Kenny, I know I'm in the presence of genius. Mere thanks barely covers it, sir.

      That keyboard is not a part of Reaper, it's just another application that Kenny uses for his tutorials so that you can see when he plays notes in the keyboard.

    Cool demonstration of sound design techniques in Reaper, but I don't think it can compete with the free and open source monster, Surge XT synth.

    • @genuinefreewilly5706
      @genuinefreewilly5706 Před 2 lety

      Agree, Surge is a beast but you can end up going down all sorts of rabbitholes
      Vital is free as well and easier to tame I find. Its a wonderful tool. It definitely excels in creating a stereo field in a most simple fashion, that is why many people love it.
      If one want to quickly build a virtual modular synth, this a great tutorial

    Not gonna lie, I'm lazy. I'm usually just gonna reach for synth one and muck around in there. I have used reasynth for simple stuff and it works well.

    Is it possible make fx window and js plugins not white , because it make contrast on dark grey arrange area , and eyes really tired ?

    • @vivenzeo
      @vivenzeo Před 11 měsíci

      it's an OS problem, not REAPER. If you are a Mac user, everything will be dark grey because Mac OS implements dark mode quite right, unlike Windows

    • @kraftnote169
      @kraftnote169 Před 11 měsíci

      @@vivenzeo in other daws like cubase , studio one or fl studio at all, there is no windows with bright white colour either on Mac or on Windows

    • @vivenzeo
      @vivenzeo Před 11 měsíci

      That's because they (DAWs) draw their own graphics on the pop up windows. Reaper, with the goal of minimizing resource usage, just calls on the stock OS' windows graphics. That's one of the things that makes Reaper faster and lighter than literally any daw.
      I don't mind the white windows if that means i can run things faster though.
