I love Justin's voice here, it pops beautifully. This guy is one of the best songwriters of the last 50 years.
One of the most underrated groups in the last 30 year's. Seeing them live is a joy to behold.
YES❤
No autotune, nonsense dancing, fakery, miming. Actual musicians, singers who can hit the right notes and have the diaphragm to project.
Thanks Del Amitri for getting me through those tough teen years 3 decades back, cheers lads I owe you some drams.
The most underrated songwriter of the last 30 years. And what a voice
For those who appreciate good songwriting, he is right up there with the best. Just a complete delight.
Oh yeah ...
In a world of boy bands (who don't even play an instrument ) or half naked girls....These guys are still and always will be a REAL talent 💯%
They look so sad here though! Like they’re all on the edge of tears.
Real people though, singing real songs ❤
But the songs flow so beautifully
Watching Iain doing background vocals is simultaneously amusing and awesome. I love that he and JC have the partnership that gives life to Del Amitri.
The harmonies are incredible, mostly hidden in the mix in the original studio versions, it brings new life to the songs seeing them very much in the fore in the live gigs.
Timeless the only group I went to see more than once, and always makes me smile when I listen to Del Amitri 30 years on
Garbage
@@peterah7957 So...You don't like Del Amitri...?
Would be interesting to hear about what kind of music you do like...after a comment like that.
Please enlighten me .
@@georgiannejohnson4420 agree 100% with u
My mate Steve introduced me to Del Amitri just before I left London in 1997, and they've stayed with me in NZ all this time. What a joy to hear this live! Takes me back, and yet still of today as well.
Love these guys songs and the accordian really adds to this song,
An absolutely outstanding live version of my favourite Del Amitri song
Near 30 years , and it sounds to me like the first time, the best song ever write. Perfect
Always wonderful❤
Underated band.
Not underrated. Celebrated. They did ok
One of the first songs I ever heard by Del Amitri. (The first was "kiss this thing goodbye" in 1990... The same applies.) I became an instant fan, or better said, mega-fan! I've been a die hard Del Amitri fan ever since. My great regret was never seeing them live in 30 yrs. Now I get a chance finally to have one of my music dreams fulfilled... The Dels live in 2022! Thank you God! Trying to type this through my tears of joy and gratitude.
Great tune the first time you hear it - great song the thousandth time you hear it.....!!!!
This song never gets old. How can a song about infidelity sound so sweet? Every time.
Near 30 years , and it sounds to me like the first time, the best song ever write. Perfect👌
Seen these about 8 times (Norwich, Cambridge & Ipswich). One of very few bands that live, still sounds like their recordings. Great sound, fantastic lyrics - superb all round. Have their new album pre- ordered. Can't wait for it to pop through my letter box. Respect lads.
My "ears" were hypnotized in London in 1989. The effect seems to be unbroken and has been reactivated by the new and mature album "Fatal Mistakes". Great performance! Wish them all the best! 🍀🍄☀️🌈
Justin Currie a true poet!❤
fine song fine band, love em
They still got it
Justin Currie's voice has got softer over the years but he still hits all the notes. Perfection.
One of my all time favourite songs.
My first favorite song from Del Amitri. Sounds just as incredible now as the day it was released.
..... and here I am again 6 months later listening to it again!!!
Just perfect
The best Scottish band from the past 40 years.
Don’t forget Texas, Simple Minds, Wet Wet Wet, Framz Ferdinand, Travis.... I still think this band is one of the most underrated bans from that era...... beautiful music, used to listen to Waking Hours over and over....... they have a unique sound and voice.. baffles me how they never went crazy big
@@brianbrooking496 I don't forget them. There's just none of them measure up to the Dels.
Love&money hipsway aswell
Wot About RUNRIG
@@07971Phil Runrig are excellent but they don't have the same depth of songs Del Amitri have. Their song writing quality isn't even close.
Outstanding
Class act, sound amazing after all these years....respect! 👍
In the top 10 song smiths of all time IMO. So under rated
One of my favourite great stuff guys
Justin's voice is just!
I could still play Waking Hours all day and love it. Still know every word. And driving with the brakes on and it's never too late to be alone. Hell, all of ' em
Oh my fucking days 😍 , this peeps is the cream of British, almost makes me wanna be Scottish 👌
EPIC
Excellent band & good live too.
Just seen them tonight at the queens hall Edinburgh. Absolutely brilliant 🏴🏴🏴
Awesome show in Milwaukee yesterday. Sounded as good as they did in 1997 when I saw them last. Great to have them back in the US. Hopefully it won't be another 25 years til I see them again!
Love this song. Means a lot to me and at a point in my life it meant everything. Thank you for putting words to my life ♥
IMHO... the greatest song ever written. RIP Debra Mary Kiehne... lost to us far too soon... forever my so beloved and cherished downfall.
Absolutely beautiful ❤🙌👍
Some song...👌🏻
Just love love love this....❤
Near 30 years and it sounds to me like the first one, the best song ever write. Perfect👍😉
so many memories from this so long ago, like most people probably, it feels like this was written for my life back then!
Brilliant, very underrated band and brand new guys ...superb

Pure class is permanent.
Went to see the Dels last week in Manchester one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to loved it
And do we have to listen today? Shouting man, Sam Ryder!!
30 years ago (where has the time gone) this band sounded damn good and they still sound damn good.
Beautiful ❤
Great to see the guys back
Saw them a couple of times in Farnkfurt, Batschkapp in the mid 90's. Still one of my favorites Brilliant...!
I saw then play at a local pub way way back when they were just starting out and there were literally four people in the audience.
Great performance guys, thanks Brad USA
That was pretty darn good!
Sounds AMAZING! So would love to see them live someday. But Wrong side of the pond.
Justin currie does tour the US
Did you catch any of the US dates?
Fantastic! Great harmonies Justin and Iain
One of the best songs I’ve heard
This is THE song ....
Nice smooth sounds.
Great song/great band! Love it/them! thanks for posting
I’m just crying about my youth
So good
Been there a few times!
Still works. ♥️ 2023
❤
Great version
Even though i haven't been the wrong part....it still hits..
I love this band, brings back great memories of my younger years. Shame they never got the recognition they truly deserve.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Exactly!
Love U

AUSSIES MATE, just like CHISEL
How comes such a band did not make a global impact!
There have been rubbish bands ,singers made it though such as culture club, pet shop boys, duran duran etc.
Sad.
I have a confession.
Love this band, but this song never really worked for me.
I almost hit the dislike just to be the first but... Hell, i just can't do it man, i won't be their downfall.
I'd convinced myself I couldn't remember this but I do, especially that line "as the tail lights pull out of sight, will you be my downfall tonight"
I'm gonna grab my guitar and have a sing along, I'd post it but don't wanna make anyone deaf :-)
