You and me both dude. It was the first Christian band I ever had exposure to I was like 9 or 10 years old and I'm 20 now. Now I listen to a plethora of artists that have blessed me in more ways I can ever hope to imagine. This band changed my life.
"This fight was made for me" is tattooed on the inside of my left arm, taken from this song and a few others to remind me that no part of this is a surprise to God.
"But it isn't mine to win" is tattooed on the inside of my right arm, reminding me that I'm not alone in the fight (also referencing the whole "ready the horse for battle" proverb, and my support network).
Having Crohn's for 18 years, just uh...I have moments where I have to reaffirm my roots. This song is obviously one such booster, as I thought highly enough of it to ward it on my flesh.

More than 10 years ago I heard a lot of bands in this style especially Close Your Eyes, at that time I had no idea of my life, the things I was going through had no sense, I felt without purpose, I sang these songs that made me feel very good... however, I didn't understand very well what they meant, today I'm walking with Jesus, with purpose, life and eternal hope, these songs sowed a seed in my heart without knowing it at that time. I first heard this song in prison, I was in the S.H.U. in Tehachapi, CA. we only had like five channels, one of them being JCTV, which played a half an hour of skate videos and like a half an hour of metal videos every night. This song and one other song by haste the Day to help me change. I've been out since 2013, and I can't tell you how much this music helped..

I am a sinner but find strength in God, and also, I can feel beaten down often from hearing horrible things people say about me and others for following Jesus. Not saying that was what was intended in the lyrics but what I found for me as a meaning.

It's not only heart he puts into this song, he uses all of his energy putting everything into the voice you see in this video making it quite obvious that this song touches him just as it touches us. This song leaves you with the feeling you get at the end of a good movie, you just wish didn't have to end, but yet you are still satisfied at the same time.

I was gifted an Alternative Press magazine when I was 14-15 and this album was featured in a 10 up and coming bands section. I listened to this album everyday for like 3 months.
A couple years later I went to look them up and had forgotten their name. I 3:25 only had a faint recollection of of the album art.
I gave up on trying to find them about a year ago after going as far as looking up the Alternative Press archives and trying to find the issue I was given with no luck.
Today, out of sheer coincidence, I was invited to BlueRidge Rockfest and looked up last years lineup only to see this familiar name, looked it up, and I can’t describe the pure excitement I got realizing I’d found this band!
At 26 after 11-12 years I’m finally able to listen to this album again and it’s so sick.

I hate that extremely talented bands like this aren't heard the way they should be. The lyrics in this particular song are so powerful, it saved my life.
Was down in the dumps of life, in the midst of a very high drug problem. As I was slapping my arm for another run down, I came across this band. Never heard them, so I was intrigued.

Growing up as a young teen I hated Christianity and Christian’s because a lot of them were so judgmental and I had no idea this band was Christian. Years later I myself am a Christian and found out this band was Christian as well. It makes me appreciate the music a little bit more

One of the best post hardcore bands I've ever listened to and they came late in the game also. Inspired myself during that time to play and we eventually got on the battle of the bands warped tour stage in Cleveland. Got to live the dream if even for a moment. Thank you close your eyes.

Yes brother, regardless of If I somehow wind up making it to their set, or realistically making it to the festival at all lol, I’m without a doubt gonna search tirelessly for the best quality, fullest/longest video coverage of their set I can find, hopefully whoever films them does the best they can within their ability and however much time they’re allowed free, in hopes that best case scenario; a long clip of at least decent quality covering their full set gets uploaded.
