Thanks for the info! I have read earlier, that apparently it’s been built as an upside down Buddhist temple kind of tourist attraction, but couldn’t find any more info about it..
@@FamilyPopTV the story (set in the 1950's but the temple was constructed in the 1800's) here is that a new zealand adventurer named kilgore goode travels to mount everest in search of the sacred desirata (guarded by the yeti)
there he finds that the jewel was already taken and chiseled away, on his way back he meets a sherpa named bala who claim to be the choosen one
bala was later turned into kilgore's long time partner & suggest that he could build a base of operations for his collection of treasures he gather and so kilgore did
there, he is recieved a ancient manuscript from a monk named onkar (the original owner of the desirata & a part of a clan who offered the jewel to the yeti, told him to protect) known as the ved
the ved tells kilgore that the jewel was actually broken by thieves (actually bala but in hints) into 7 pieces and distibuted around the world together with other mysteries and that the yeti fled his domain in search of them
so it's up to kilgore to find the missing pieces of the desirata and return back to it's domain (& possibly face the yeti)!
there's also a mermaid character that problaby have some significance in the story, i found the story somewhere both in web archives & other details

How far is a beach ? Th all inclusive including beach sunbed etc ?

I've been there before
I went there but I lost my phone In the airport.Overall I would say 8.5/10 hotel.
7.9 the hotel is amazing the entertainment but the food is a bit meh and I went there with 6 other kids around 9-14 everyone loved it (including me)
I Agree, with the food there’s a place for the improvement, but still it was probably the best hotel we’ve been with the kids; so many things to do, definitely will cone back there!

Hi. We’ve been in different hotel in the area early May once, the sun may be out but the water in the pools would be freezing.
As for the availability- the splash area may be closed until May - so best to contact the hotel via email to be sure: sol.katmandu.resort@melia.com
No it's not changed I has not
I went in 2015 and it was horrible.
I was a bit sceptical before we went there in 2019, after reading some mixed reviews. But overall the hotel and the whole holiday was very good (hotel & pool cleanliness, food, attractions/animation, helpful staff).
The only downside- not much space to leave the car outside the hotel, the area was extremely busy. We’ve been literally doing rounds hunting for a car space...;)))
