Back in the day. NSR's were a dime a dozen. Wasn't really anything special about them.
Nowadays. With all the restrictions Japan has on everything. They've become less popular with the masses.
Of course Japan's enthusiast crowd is still strong.
We don't get to see enough out of Japan.
I know my mod'ed NSR draws a huge crowd when I get the chance to take it out. Pretty fun.

If I remember correctly the bikes for the Japanese domestic market regardless of engine size were restricted to 100 h.p. max.. I could very well be mistaken ?.
