I used to be a Christian but I converted to Islam about a year ago. This was the first Quran recitation I ever listened to. I thank Allah everyday for guiding me to His beautiful religion. Alhamdulilah!

This is obvious from the three questions that were posed to John the Baptist: *“Now this was John’s testimony, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Christ.” They asked him, “Then who are you? Muhammad (peace be upon him) a descendant of Ishmael, is indeed this prophet. Also, *Isaiah 42:1-13* speaks of the servant of God, His “chosen one” and “messenger” who will bring down a law. *“He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.”* (Isaiah 42:4). Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Kedar. Who is Kedar? According to *Genesis 25:13,* Kedar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). *3) God will put His words in the mouth of this prophet:* The words of God (the Holy Quran) were truly put into Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) mouth. God sent the Angel Gabriel to teach Muhammad (peace be upon him) the exact words of God (the Holy Quran) and asked him to dictate them to the people as he heard them. The words are therefore not his own. They did not come from his own thoughts, but were put into his mouth by the Angel Gabriel. During the life time of Muhammad (peace be upon him) , and under his supervision, these words were then memorized and written by his companions. My life has been difficult but alhamdoulilah Allah always gives me strength to deal with my issues . Before my reverting to islam I was a music addict. Then, I reverted and I was told music is haram but at first as a revert I was learning the basics.. and in only one month I was giving up bad things, music as well. At first I switched to nasheds and quran but then in smth like 3 months i quited nasheds as well and now I do listen only to quran even though sometimes Sheytan comes to tell me to play a song..not a big deal but I fight with that. Mounem Houf I used to go to church and the church I went to had a copy of the Qur'an (sorry if I spelled this incorrectly) and I borrowed it and the Arabic writing is so intricate. It blew my mind. SubhanAllah , the last verses where Allah adresses and instructs the prophet( PBUH) directly on what to say and how to act always make me cry. The best way for me to know who Allah's messenger Mohammad ,peace and blessings be upon him, was as a man and how he acted in his daily life is to ponder on the verses where Allah instructd him on what to say and how to act in various situations throughout the Quran.So so noble ,he was a walking Quran. Also the verses where Allah quotes the words and pareyers of Abraham ( PUBH ) is so so beautiful it melts my heart. What a man he was. It is the mercy of Allah to read these verses that show the mercy and the closeness of his majesty to his creation, they calm and assure the heart .

*1)* *“Islam” means “surrender” or “submission”* . “Salam” (which means “peace”) is the root word of “Islam”. In a religious context the word “Islam” means “the surrendering of one’s will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace”.
*2)* *“Muslim” means “anyone or anything that surrenders itself to the true will of God”.* By this definition, everything in nature (trees, animals, planets, etc.) are “muslims” because they are in a state of surrender to God’s will. In other words, they are fulfilling the purpose for which God created them.
*3)* *Islam is not a new religion or cult.* It is a universal way of life and civilization. *Again, Islam is not a new religion,* rather it is the same message preached by all earlier prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all). But God’s final message to mankind was revealed to the last prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), as a revival of lost teachings of previous prophets and as a reconfirmation of the eternal message. Studies show that between 1.5 and 1.8 billion people in the world identify their religion as Islam. Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve.
*4)* *There are five pillars of practice in Islam.* These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.
*5)* *There are six articles of faith in Islam.* These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. *The Biblical prophecies* on the advent of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) are evidence of the truth of Islam for people who believe in the Bible.
In *Deuteronomy 18,* Moses stated that God told him: *“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.”* (Deuteronomy 18:18-19).
From these verses we conclude that the prophet in this prophecy must have the following three characteristics:
1) That he will be like Moses.
2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites.
3) That God will put His words in to the mouth of this prophet and that he will declare what God commands him.
Let us examine these three characteristics in more depth:
*1) A prophet like Moses:*
There were hardly any two prophets who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon him). Both were given a comprehensive law and code of life. Both encountered their enemies and were victorious in miraculous ways. Both were accepted as prophets and statesmen. Both migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them. Analogies between Moses and Jesus overlook not only the above similarities but other crucial ones as well. These include the natural birth, the family life, and death of Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon him) but not of Jesus. Moreover Jesus was regarded by his followers as the Son of God and not exclusively as a prophet of God, as Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon him) were and as Muslims Jesus was. So, this prophecy refers to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and not to Jesus, because Muhammad (peace be upon him) is more like Moses than Jesus.
Also, one notices from the Gospel of John that the Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of three distinct prophecies. The first was the coming of Christ. The second was the coming of Elijah. The third was the coming of the Prophet. This is obvious from the three questions that were posed to John the Baptist: *“Now this was John’s testimony, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Christ.” They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.”* (John 1:19-21).
If we look in a Bible with cross-references, we will find in the marginal notes where the words *“the Prophet”* occur in *John 1:21* , that these words refer to the prophecy of *Deuteronomy* *18:15* and *18:18**.* We conclude from this that Jesus Christ is not the prophet mentioned in *Deuteronomy 18:18.*
*2) From the brothers of the Israelites:*
Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac *(Genesis 21).* Ishmael became the grandfather of the Arab nation, and Isaac became the grandfather of the Jewish nation. The prophet spoken of was not to come from among the Jews themselves, but from among their brothers, i.e. the Ishmaelites. Muhammad (peace be upon him) a descendant of Ishmael, is indeed this prophet.
Also, *Isaiah 42:1-13* speaks of the servant of God, His “chosen one” and “messenger” who will bring down a law. *“He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.”* (Isaiah 42:4). Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Kedar. Who is Kedar? According to *Genesis 25:13,* Kedar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
*3) God will put His words in the mouth of this prophet:*
The words of God (the Holy Quran) were truly put into Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) mouth. God sent the Angel Gabriel to teach Muhammad (peace be upon him) the exact words of God (the Holy Quran) and asked him to dictate them to the people as he heard them. The words are therefore not his own. They did not come from his own thoughts, but were put into his mouth by the Angel Gabriel. During the life time of Muhammad (peace be upon him) , and under his supervision, these words were then memorized and written by his companions.
Also, this prophecy in *Deuteronomy* mentioned that this prophet will speak the words of God in the name of God. If we looked to the Holy Quran, we will find that all its chapters, except Chapter 9, are preceded or begin with the phrase, “In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”
Another indication (other than the prophecy in *Deuteronomy* ) is that *Isaiah* ties the messenger connected with Kedar with a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sung to the Lord *(Isaiah 42:10-11).* This is mentioned more clearly in the prophecy of *Isaiah: “and another tongue, will he speak to this people” (Isaiah 28:11 KJV).* Another related point, is that the Quran was revealed in sections over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to compare this with *Isaiah 28* which speaks of the same thing, *“For it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there.” (Isaiah 28:10).*
Note that God has said in the prophecy of *Deuteronomy 18, “If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.” (Deuteronomy, **18:19**).* This means that whoever believes in the Bible must believe in what this prophet says, and this prophet is the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
■ *Jesus* said to the Jews that *the Kingdom of God* (the prophethood , being the chosen people) would be taken from them and be given to another blessed nation:
"Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit."
(Matthew 21:43)
God Almighty removed His Kingdom from them and gave it to other than the "blessed" Arab-Muslims who came from the "blessed" Ishmael.
(Genesis 17:20):
"And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation."

Before my reverting to islam I was a music addict. Then, I reverted and I was told music is haram but at first as a revert I was learning the basics.. and in only one month I was giving up bad things, music as well. At first I switched to nasheds and quran but then in smth like 3 months i quited nasheds as well and now I do listen only to quran even though sometimes Sheytan comes to tell me to play a song..not a big deal but I fight with that. IS NOT THAT HARD IF YOU REALLY FIGHT WITH SHEYTAN FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH!

To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.

Islam with its universal concept of brotherhood rejects all artificial and man-made marks of distinction.
Allah Almighty says in the noble Quran:
"O mankind, indeed We (Allah) have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."

No one can claim any superiority over the other based on race, color, language or wealth and this is emphasized in the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) showing high regard of humanity irrespective of color or race:
"“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor does a black have any superiority over a white except by piety and good action.”
🔹️ *How to convert (revert) to Islam*
Basically to become a Muslim is very simple.. you need to say the decleration of faith oraly while you believe in it by heart with a firm conviction and unshakeable faith.
*The decleration of Faith in Islam (The Shahada)*
The Shahada (in Arabic) can be declared as follows :
*“ASH-HADU ANLA ELAHA ILLA-ALLAH WA ASH-HADU ANNA MOHAMMADAN RASUL-ALLAH”*
The English translation is :
*“I bear witness that there is no deity (none truly to be worshipped) but, Allah, and I bear witness that Mohammad is the messenger of Allah.”*
However, it would not be sufficient for anyone to only utter this testimony oraly either in private or in public; but rather, he should believe in it by heart with a firm conviction and unshakeable faith. If one is truly sincere and complies with the teachings of Islam in all his life, he will find himself a new born person.

Hi there! So .. I am trying to help... I converted with this account called reverthelp on tumblr (@reverthelp). They have been helping reverts for years and I ended up reciting my shahada with them. They taught me everything I know today and supported me all this time. They even found other reverts for me in my area, someone to teach me how to read and recite Quran and so many other things. I saw they started to be active on instagram also recently (@revert_help). Maybe they can assist you throughout your journey as well as they did with me ? The most amazing part is that they even helped me with my relationship with my mom. She was very hostile with me at the beginning and with their help, our relationship improved very well. Mounem Houf I used to go to church and the church I went to had a copy of the Qur'an (sorry if I spelled this incorrectly) and I borrowed it and the Arabic writing is so intricate. It blew my mind. I'm Unitarian Universalist because I believe that everyone is human and commonly united and that every religion is valid, equal, and has worth. I wish everyone would realize that we are all human and stop being so bigoted about their beliefs.

SubhanAllah , the last verses where Allah adresses and instructs the prophet( PBUH) directly on what to say and how to act always make me cry.
The best way for me to know who Allah's messenger Mohammad ,peace and blessings be upon him, was as a man and how he acted in his daily life is to ponder on the verses where Allah instructd him on what to say and how to act in various situations throughout the Quran.So so noble ,he was a walking Quran.
Also the verses where Allah quotes the words and pareyers of Abraham ( PUBH ) is so so beautiful it melts my heart. What a man he was.
It is the mercy of Allah to read these verses that show the mercy and the closeness of his majesty to his creation, they calm and assure the heart .
Whenever I feel depressed and overthinking some thing I listen this recitation it brings such a calm to my mind and soul that I forget my worries and feel closer to God.. this qari has such an amazing voice that is really heart touching may Allah bless him more and happy life in this world and hereafter.
