I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who is adept in playing on His flute,
with blooming eyes like lotus petals,
His head decked with peacock feathers,
the figure of beauty tinged with the hue of blue clouds,
His unique loveliness charming millions of cupids.
I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, whose transcendental form is full of bliss, truth, substantiality and is thus full of the most dazzling splendor.
Each of the limbs of that transcendental figure possesses in Himself,
the full-fledged functions of all the organs,
and eternally sees, maintains and manifests the infinite universes,

I was 7 years old when I first heard this song on a cassette . Ever since I grew old , I was search in this song . I found it on internet today. Mark my words once you are in love with krishna there is no way you can step back. Because every time I try to run away I feel the love is even deeper than before . Hare Krishna hare rama.

My first Love @ISKCON Chennai while I was a BBA Student @ University of Madras. I used to walk 3 Kilometres broken, nasty road everyday morning to reach ISKCON Chennai Temple by 7.15 AM just to hear this eternal Brahmasamhita.
I am so indebted to His Grace Yamuna Mataji, Desciple of Srila Prabhupada for her heart touching eternal tune and attract me to the path of Lord Krishna from my trackless life.
I also express my gratitude to His Grace Viswaguru Chaitanya Dasadhikari Prabhu for introducing me to ISKCON and lifting me from the animal like life.
I request all my FB friends to hear the song attentively.

i was blessed to be Srila Prabhupad's cook and personal servant for a year and a half in the early 70's. Started in Los Angeles and then went to India, before we had any centers there, then on to 15 different countries. Starting in LA and whenever it was possible after that, His Divine Grace would have me play this song, sung by one of my best friends and most respected mentors, Her Holiness Srimati Yamuna Devi Dasi, in His room in the early morning hours. He would usually sit with His lotus eyes closed in a deep meditative mood, listening to the purity of her voice and depth of her devotion. One morning, tears were streaming down His lotus face and when it was over, He looked up with an amazing expression that's hard to describe and said with a soft and quivering voice... "Oh, she sings with such great devotion!" She passed away a few years ago, and often i pray that since i don't feel qualified to go back to Krishna or even to be with Srila Prabhupad again, since i made so many offenses out of an addiction to sense gratification, what i want to do is be with and serve the pure devotees that i knew and loved, like Yamuna Devi Dasi, Srila Gour Govinda Maharaj, Vishnujana Maharaj and Srila Bhaktiswarupa Damodar Maharaj, wherever they are now. All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupad and all His pure disciples.

I heard this bhajan when I was a kid. My father used to play a cassette he got from a close-by ISKON temple. Didn't understand the meaning back then but somehow the mix of devotion and drums/Guitars got this song in my head somewhere. After a year or so the cassette stopped working and so the years passed without this ever being played again in our house again. Though the song remained in my head throughout, resurfacing (in my head only) after every few months or years sometimes and then again going into oblivion. The cycle continued. When the internet became available I searched for this whenever the song resurfaced in my head. Finally found the song today. Can't tell you my happiness. All the old memories of my childhood flooded back in an instant. Thanks to the uploader... Cheers mate!

When i heard this song for the first time, it was the year 1999. And i felt the enormous Love of Rada/Govinda for a few seconds. It was so intense, i could only feel it for about 3 seconds. Ever since that experience, i know there is a God, no believing required anymore. And nothing could destroy that knowledge. Many dark ones have tried ;-)

Being a Hindu Brahmin by birth, I have read many shastras, heard and sang many bhajanas and kirtanas in my life.
But this song, sang by an Western person instills so much love and devotion in my heart that I cry everytime I hear this song. There is no doubt that this music comes from the core of the heart of the singer. This made me believe that Krishna is pure love, pure bliss. Anyone, from anywhere, any background can love Krishna and when that love is pure, it reflects in their bhajanas.
