Definately my new goto Man for unreal tutorials! I dont suppose you have had a chance to look at Omniverse audio to gesture, and the best way to retarget to metahuman?
I never really had the hardware or time to got the Omniverse route.
I have a 4080 now, so will make the time over the next few months.
Extremely easy to follow! Much faster than other tutorials here for a similar result. However, my character appears to have shortened legs and arms, and appears kinda stubby when the game is actually running. I checked the goals and everything is fine, and even in the animation side by side preview it’s perfect. Has anyone else ran into this issue?
There have been changes since I published this.
You can try setting up "Retargeting Options" for the affected bones to "Animation Relative" in the Skeleton editor
This was great but with it rigged can it be used in replacement for the UE5 provided character as the player character

awesome tutorial ! Is there a way to edit the target pose to match the source ? I don't see any Edit button in the left top corner next to "reset" like i see in other tutorial?? UE5.3
Edit: Ok find it, now it's just above "source" and "target" , the "show retargeted pose can be switch to "edit retargeted pose"

Awesome tutorial, but I can´t select any other skeletal mesh like you did at 06:51 in the video. The box is grayed out. Do you maybe know why or a solution?
Hi, I am facing the same issue. You just need to do it in version 5.1, not 5.0. Because on 5.0 I could not change.

After seeing your video I have a dumb question maybe but how did you manage to import this character into Accurig with its textures ? When I do it my character appears with no textures on it. Thank you for your video !

It has been a while since I recorded this but the fbx file that I imported, probably had textures embedded in it.
Is that possible after this retargeting I update my Skeleton Mesh to UE5 too? I mean if I want to copy the control rig from UE5 I get some problems because the original skeleton mesh is on UE4 pattern, how can I update this as well?
Can you do this for Lyra please, I've tried so many retargeting for cc4 characters and always end up with gun floating above hands. With this AccuRig method gun is in hand, but hands look weird, like rubber

You can setup the retargeting options on the skeleton to try and fix thie issue:

the hand IKs are not connected to the left hand of the notDeadpool so how to fix it..??
This is quaite an old video and I have not used accurig for a long time.
when I switch out the skeletal mesh in the accurig IK, the mesh doesn't appear, any idea on what I'm getting wrong?

I followed this step by step and the plugin still doesn't appear its in my Engine Plugins folder but won't show up any idea why?
Make sure you are installing the correct version for the UnrealEngine you have and restart the engine.
In the final step do I then have to click "Export Selected Animations" to another folder with the NotDP character?
Yes but it does not have to be your characters folder.
For some reason after I import my model into Unreal, it becomes kinda.. semi-transparent and broken.. Do you know anything about this issue? Your video looked promising but I cannot find a solution for my problem...
Sounds like a material issue ?
Make the master material two sided and see if that makes a difference.

have unreal engine 5.2 and that plugin doesn't support 5.2, so my models keeps getting broken or have parts missing, any idea how to solve that?
@reallusion should release an update for that plugin soon, 5.2 has been available for a while now.

Epic have not released an update for their own flagship Metahuman plugin, for their own engine yet.
Reallusion are hard workers, they will get it done.
